the 23 window can go for 30-40k if done to a high level and at a major auction. ..

congrats on the sandcast coming together....you will be able to enjoy it for a little while before it heads to Germany.

That's freakin' insane!  I had no idea a vehicle that can barely move under it's own power could cost that much!
If it works good, it looks good...

And the shop most likely paid more for that project van than we could sell our 750's for.

Guess I really haven't been watching them...must have been a 19 window or common version of the bus or I totally remember the price wrong. They are interesting but I want another Volvo 122S 2-door coupe or a 123GT. I regret let my '66 go...

Yeah, the shop probably paid more than even Greggo's sandcast would sell for...
Your sandcast is probably in the 15-20k range? But, like the 23 window...it could be worth way more. 750s aren't real interesting to me...

I just came back across this thread looking for my old project. I am finally going to finish the CB750 I started years ago in the next couple months and guess what, I moved to Cotati, and I have a pretty strong idea of which VW shop you're talking about. Haha.

Hmm, is that a good or a bad thing? My dad is sometimes not the friendliest guy.

Dang I didn't measure it Stev-o!  It's just a standard K0-6 tachometer cable size...about two and a half feet?  I left the cable attached to the tach when I took the motor out, then rolled the frame into the storage garage weeks ago and the inner cable just slipped out somewhere along the way...

Greggo - bad news, I was preparing to wrap up the tach cable for you and the inner cable fell out - it was broken.
The two other spares I have are for speedo.  Sorry!

Next week I should have the fork stays, tank and side cover badges, and the last few details done. Im not sure I could accept a nomination until that stuff's done and I can take some real beauty shots.
