Beautiful! Did they paint the stripe or apply a decal? It looks great!

$850   which is around what I was quoted from other places that specialize in Honda paint jobs.   So yes, you could save yourself a bundle by doing it yourself if you have that talent.   I don't have that talent and if I had done it myself it would have looked like a monkey painted it with a stick.

My guess is $1000 and it looks worth it. If this is the guy that sells sets on EBay he spares NO detail down to new emblems on tank and side covers.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Its a decal, but you have to look real close to tell whether it was painted or decal.

Candy Gold is a hard color to get right.  It always looks different when viewed from different angles or in different types of light.
If you look at the 3 pics I posted you can see the slight variations in each picture caused by different angles and varying amounts of light.  Mike at Vintage Honda painting says it is the hardest color to do correctly.  He got this color right on and the pictures don't do it justice.

Wow. Parts look great.

Did they restore the emblems for you for that cost? I had a quote for about $600 from a local shop here to do a similar to original (but not an exact original color) paint for my k4. The later bikes don't require the headlight bucket or fork ears to be painted though so that sounds about right.

Very nice and totally worth the price!  Did they clear-coat over the decals?
