1978 CB750k build. Project "Hiroko"

Realized finally that I've never posted my build on here to share.

Had this bike for about 5 months and finally getting to tear into it.


Naming it Hiroko, which was my late japanese grandmas given name when she was born.  When she moved to America she picked the name Nancy, which doesn't sound as cool on a license plate.  ;D :o



Beside its lil bro..79 cx500.

More stripping of the bike.

Big things left to order are tank/seat.





Finished wrapping exhaust other night.

Gotta clean up carbs, tanks in the mail, find a seat...and put on a bunch of parts.

Got the billet triple, clip ons, mini gages, controls and switches put in place.

Rim painted and new chain.

KB its a fiberglass tank from the DCC store.

Sat the rear seat on for an idea.


Messing around with the rear sets.

That's a long rod but it might work. The 77 and 78 rear peg mounts are less sturdy than the earlier years since they are not one solid piece.

Yah I figured I'd try the stock passenger peg location first since im a bigger guy.  I know a lot of people don't like them there but I tried it out and it seems to work well so far.
