The snobism of the parking lot
« on: April 10, 2013, 04:59:57 PM »
The parking lot of our office.

Left front - rice burners, right front BMW, right back HDs.
It was even better yesterday with one more Honda and one more BMW - but the location and segregation was the same.  It looks like this now, when all sissies ride - it was just me through the winter.

I think it is funny, but I am easily amused :)

I am amused also. I try never to park among #$%*s.

:) Nothing wrong with classes;  Communists in my country wasted many lives trying to create society without class only to establish new ones.

Of course, Japanese motorcycles are the best and that's why they are ridden by the smartest and coolest and overall best people  ;D ;D ;D

I had to laugh many years ago out on a ride got caught in a rainstorm.   Pulled under a bridge to put on the rain suit and a hardly pulled up looked at my bike and drove a 100 or so feet out in the rain and stopped to put his on.  And so far this year they seem to be the least wave friendly.

I have class and glasses.
Also have a pocket protector.

I always park my bike where I can see it,
just in case someone tried to run over it again in the parking lot.

Motorcyclists shouldn't wave to each other anymore; the uniting feeling of shared hardship has been gone since the cruisers took over. Now it's all about division. I stopped waving at anyone years ago. I don't like it but that's the way it is.

I wasn't there, but I'd imagine motorists in the early days used to wave at each other. The time for it passed, like everything else.

Corvette drivers used to also.    I still wave in spite of the clueless.   I also was impressed with the guy on a hardley  who did stop and ask if I was ok when I was on a break.  So no reason to lump everyone into the ahole pile.

Except mopeds and scooters, no one waves to those guys.

I've DONE THAT! It's hysterical. :D

I rode to kingdom come on a sachs when I was 14.   I overtook every moped I ever saw on it and sh8 out my friend's puch.  Now I ride a honda that is four years older than what I rode when couldn't ride a real bike. I'm just sayin'. I like  thois summer bday  as this year makes me an even 5 decades.

And I Also remember a friend of my brother's riding a sportster about that time or just before They were older. I gave the sachs away and wish I had it now because it would fire up. I bet that sportster wouldn't, been melted by now.

Roger that!

I wave at no one. I do like to wear my white helmet on the CBX. Same colors on the 1982 as the Police here.

It's way funny how people slow down or other bikers looking back like they have something to hide. When they slow down I zoom by.   ;D

I hate this wave at each other #$%*, if I know you I'll wave. If I don't know the person I don't wave and I could care less what kind of bike anyone rides. If its got two wheels and it being ridden its all good by me.

Bikes were my only form of legal transport for the first 25 years i was on the road,  i got comfort, especially when doing long trips, knowing that the other guys that waved or gave recognition of a fellow rider , would also be there if anything happened to me whilst out on the road, and they have done. We have always been a downtrodden part of "regular" society, frowned on and looked down on, especially earlier on, and that is part of what gave us the brotherhood sense of being, maybe some of you haven't been around or ridden as long or as passionately as some of the older guys here but i can assure you that there still is a brotherhood,  unspoken, to and for the dedicated and i hope it lasts for as long as i do because i'm proud to be a part of it...  I don't have to know them to know them......  Maybe you just don't understand..... By the way, i don't give a fcuk what anyone else rides..
