Now that I have turned into my dad, I can just quote myself.

Yep.

One of my favorites from my Grandfather that I haven't quite aged into yet:  "Boy, you're not worth a plug nickel!".

One that I have begun using:  Saying that "We need to do this" but really just meaning the son doing the work while the dad sits back, drinks a beer and offers criticism.  My dad still uses this one to this day.  "We" recently climbed up on his patio roof and sealed it in the heat of an August day.  "We" will soon be replacing the shocks, struts and mounts on his '05 Mustang.  At least he lets me have a beer now, too. ;D

"If it isn't broke, don't fix it." (typical)  "Sean, you've got a George Wallace mouth." (atypical)  I think I was 26 years old before I had any idea who George Wallace was, and the reason why he semi-regularly said this to me is still vague...

edit; ok lol, looking at these pics in comparison, things just got a lot less vague...

Never do plumbing on a Sunday.

Sage advice, if you stuff it up and need to call a plumber to bail you out you don't want to pay their weekend rates.

Was driving with my dad one day and we saw a young couple doing some serious kissing in a parking lot, my dad said "holy smokes those 2 are swapping spit big time".

If you cant remember what you were going to say, "it mus'nt have been very important"

I cant find my keys - "They are right where you left them"

"there is no proof that your mine"

"don't tell your mother"

before the remote control - "change the channel"  He would call us in from outside to change the channel.  I was the first remote control.

"If all your friends jumped off a cliff, would you jump too ?"

Today's my Dads Bday and have been thinking about him today (we lost him last year).

"Don't be a candy ass!"  He would say this to guys that were whining about something.

I had four brothers so my parents had a handful to control and one of my dad's favorites was something he would tack onto the end of a request, demand, threat, etc  if we were really behaving badly.
Blah, blah, blah, blah, or I'll knock you into next week! ;D
