Here is a quick and easy motor stand.  Put it on a small Harbor Freight furniture dolly and it makes moving motors around easy.

I also have a 78 CB750F2 that I built for my wife, the brown one below.  It has been blowing smoke all summer so that is the donor motor for my 77F.  The motor in my bike is really good (only 8500 original miles) so its going in the 78.

Wowww, awesome set up.  I can't imagine getting my wife to ride, let alone something as badass as that 78.

I agree.....nice rack, dang.  Where'd you snag those carbs from if you don't mind me asking?

I loved the stepped seat on your wife's bike. Did you make that yourself?

Thanks, I got her started on dirt bikes before we got married so she is pretty comfortable on 2 wheels.  Once I finished mine she was pretty set on having one.  It was kind of a gamble getting her the 750 as she is only 5'1".  I was looking to get her a 550 but then this 78F came up for dirt cheap so I couldn't afford to not buy it! It's slammed as low as it can go and actually sits perfect for her.

Ken at Cycle X supplied the "rack"

I have a local shop that does all my seats for me.  The whole bike is my wife's design.  She likes the stock look so we made it look more like a modified original.

Here she is at the DSG 2013 ride in Denver a couple months ago.

When I did the original fiberglass cowl the mold collapsed as the resin heated up so I had to bondo the hell out of it.  Eventually it got a few cracks that I couldn't stand so here I go again building a new cowl.  I learned a lot on the last one so I'm sure this one will turn out better.

Foam mold

Wrap the entire seat and cowl in cellophane to hold the foam cowl, protect the seat and so the fiberglass will release once complete.

First layer of mat on and set, let it dry and sand everything smooth.

Sanded smooth and ready for 3 layers of sheet.

Getting the sheets ready

3 sheets are now applied, I rotated each layer to add strength by getting the strands to run in all directions.

Now it's time to let it all set up and cure...

Clean glass job.  How are you planning to attach the cowl to the seat?

I've got some 1/4 turn quick release d-rings.  I am going to try to have that complete today so once finished I'll post some pictures

I've got the d-rings installed and the fiberglass is pretty much complete, I just need to do a little more trimming and sanding.

Thanks, I finally heard from Ken @ Cycle X and my machine work is complete and should ship back to me next week.  Can't wait until I can start putting this motor together!

I have been losing sleep over this fiberglass cowl being a tiny bit lop-sided so I finally made time to fix the problem.  Now it will go off to paint next week.

I also added a spot to strap in a tool pouch under the cowl.
