HD solo seat on a 750
« on: August 30, 2006, 10:14:02 AM »
I was playing around with the idea of building a scooter for my Dad and came up with this combo...

It is amazing how the RoadKing seat matches the lines of the K tank.  It sits a little high but with the right handlebars...who knows

What do yall think?

That doesn't look half bad. Where'd you get the HD RoadKing seat, and for how much?

I think its becoming a "Harlonda"

Does this mean It will constantly break down and leak everywhere?  Or will I just need to buy lots of leather clothes and get more tattoos?

What! For you maybe, but I call out #$%* when I think something  looks like #$%*. We were asked what we thought, I say HD or NOT it still looks like #$%*. It looks like a elephant #$%* on the back of the bike.

I agree.
I am not a fan of those seats even on the bike they were designed to be on.
I am sure you could find a solo that would "flow" with the bike better than that.

Sheesh... You guys are harsh.  And people say Harley riders hate Jap bikes.

I don't think it looks THAT bad.  The flare up on the backside doesn't look completely natural, but I do like the "thick and muscular" look the tank and seat combo gives the bike.  Maybe cut down the flare, or mount it in a way as to not be so noticeable?

I still say you can squinch it around and drop the back end (cut the bottom out?) a bit and make it look 10x better.
