Very good result despite very simple compressor and spray gun. Maybe I looked too much for equipment good enough for painting a car..
- Name/model of compressor and spray gun?

Air compressor was a Blackridge 180 - 180L/min flow rate. I bought it second hand for $150 but they sell new for $240
Touch up gun was from the auto store $40 new. the nozzle size is 0.5 and it 100ml capacity
And I turned my little shed into a spray booth.

In the first photo is the prep stuff:
Epoxy rub primer
Plastic adhesion primer for headlight bucket and side covers
Spray putty for any small imperfections
Can of wax and grease remover to wipe down the epoxy primer before painting
Next Photo is the paints:
Cobra base coat single pack 500ml but I only used 350ml
U-Pol Clear 2 pack
U-Pol Hardener
Mid way thinners

Next you can see how the inside of the shed is covered from roof to floor in the plastic sheeting to stop any dust. I also did not want get any overspray around the place. Behind the plastic sheeting in the last photo is two sets of HM300 pipes and I didn't want them candy gold as well.

I have to check again when I need a compressor in the garage anyway.

My garage is connected to the house with a door thru the washing room. The house ventilation system sucks air from the garage, my wife will not like strong smell of thinner.

Spring and summer inside a cheap party tent might be something if I can make sure that insects cannot enter. Wasps and night flies loves the smell of thinner....Hovering over the fresh painted tank until they crash into it very high... I remember one paint job back in the days

Just finished painting my own candy gold set. I'm very happy but to be honest I don't know how close t is to original because I was matching up to photos. Anyway $400 plus elbow grease.

Single pack underneath and 2 pack clear on top. I kept the recipe just in case it comes close to original.
