I have a Candy gold set on the way from the K1 build (the Turd)  Will post pics when they arrive.

How much was the shipping charge?

Came out to $140 USD for shipping.  I shipped body parts across the state UPS and it cost me $75, so double shipping.  They should be here in less than a week.  My only concern is they make it in one piece...

Im really looking forward to seeing the Z1 completed, one of my favorites.

The quality of the repro parts is supposedly second to none.  I heard, but had not checked that they are reproducing 'wrinkle' tanks for sandies & early K0's...

They're doing wrinkles as well Greggo.

Thats not that bad of a price Steve-O, if the quality is what it supposed to be.  I have paid over $900 for each of my CB paint jobs.  I will report back with quality compared to my other paint jobs.

Agreed, but I am comparing what I am looking at getting for my Z1.  I can get a tank, two side covers and a tail piece for $1250.  They are manufactured in Japan but ship from CA, online reviews are excellent. 
Will still need to get a gas cap, tank and side cover badges...

It's all pretty well spot on as original mate and I'm happy with it.

As far as I know, the silver paint only came out for the Japanese market.
I fitted the K1 Honda tank badges with the black paint which sits good against the silver.

Hey Mick,   I just did a google search on "silver honda cb750" and found a video of a silver K2
                with the black Honda emblem on the tank.  Any chance thats your bike??

That isn't my bike but it looks scarily close my first 750 that I bought in 1973 with the stock exhaust.
I purchased it from a Honda dealer in Adelaide, South Australia straight off of the showroom floor.

How it ever got to a Honda dealer in Oz with the silver paint job is a mystery.
The reason was something that I never pursued at the time.

Because it was different from every other Honda 4 that was being ridden around then, I was just happy that I had it and could ride something else besides Beezas, Trumpies, Nortons, Matchies, AJ's and anything else that we could find and fix instead of doing our homework after school.

that color to other countries.

It would be nice with several sets in different colors to use for a change. It's very quick done. The badges, trims and petcock cost some extra...

Thats what I was thinking,  You could change colors and sell your old set and probably break even.

Candy gold paint set from Yamiya, damn I am impressed with this.









Put on the new petcock and gas cap kit with stainless bolts and packed it away, so sad but it is safer hidden away from my kids.  I was really concerned with ordering one of Yamiya kits with out viewing one in person and shipping from Japan.  The kit looks amazing, pics DO NOT do it justice and it was at my doorstep in under one week.

He bought that Turbo Kaw over from NZ and I think he's still having an adrenalin hit from the first time he took it out and wrung its neck.

The shipping is really quick from Yamiya, relatively low shipping cost.
It's possible to put parts in basket  (add to my chart) and check shipping cost by pressing "estimate shipping". Delete the order if not ordering now.
I checked my next order by putting over 20 parts in basket and verify the total cost. Then deleted them. I'll order next week.

 Just finished painting my own candy gold set. I'm very happy but to be honest I don't know how close t is to original because I was matching up to photos. Anyway $400 plus elbow grease.

Single pack underneath and 2 pack clear on top. I kept the recipe just in case it comes close to original.

What did you use for the paint job? Done it in your garage, covered walls with plastic film or made a tent.....? Fans? Water based paint except the clear....?

I had thoughts about do my own repaint in my garage. I searched around on internet about the gear to use. (There are some paint forums)
-Compressor with tank big enough and able to give correct constant pressure without becoming to hot and water drops in the paint creating fish eyes.
-HVLP spray guns for primer, base coat and clear coat. I got the conclusion that these cost some to achive a good result.

It is not too late for me when I have 2 CB750 tanks that need new paint.

Gravity touch up spray gun 100ml
$17 roll of plastic film from paint store with masking tape on one edge to tape on the roof 2700 x 17mt
Epoxy rub primer spray can $25
Spray putty can$25
600 and 1200 grit wet and dry
25psi for the spray gun
Single pack base coat 1 part colour 1 part thinner @ 3 coats
Two pack clear 2 part clear 1 part hardener and 10% thinner

Very good result despite very simple compressor and spray gun. Maybe I looked too much for equipment good enough for painting a car..
