Also oiled my SKS after stripping too.

I know things can be off because of bullet vs powder vs case weight I KNOW I KNOW.... but still easier than pulling them all apart and re-weighing them. I don't have a reloading setup... yet.

I got to shoot an SKS for the first time the other day and it was a lot of fun.  Was interesting mixing it in with our lever action marlin's and rossi that we'd taken :)

Yeah it is my favourite plinking rifle. Just a pain in the ass to clean afterwards! Shame we're limited to 5 rounds in the mag here in Canada. Super inexpensive rifle, easily modified, cheap ammo for plinking. Can't beat the damn things!

Very accurate, too, in the right hands...

As a Canadian, I feel it is my obligation to get an Enfield. The problem is finding one with original furniture that doesn't cost an arm and a leg! Then I could also get in to reloading, too... hmmm... An excuse to expand the hobby!

Plenty of sporters available, but finding a full stock kit and front sights are the hard part. Like CB750 stuff... sellers KNOW we want it and charge a pretty penny.

Thats how she sits now with green mountain barrel. I decided to leave the barrel at .905, it is meant to be a range queen and heavy barrels come handy.

Will have to make a custom gas block too.

I'm curious, 70CB, why not go with an 80% lower and skip the whole FFL process? I bought a 300 Blackout full upper from Hardened Arms ($300) and an 80% lower with a jig for under $150. No serials, no paper, and about 30' of mill time.

As soon as the weather breaks, i will go thigh a break-in and cook up a recipe for it in both sub- and hyper- sonic.

Its not about "something to hide" but about the aspect of building your own. Given your propensity for self-built stuff, figured you'd rather finish milling your own lower.

80% option crossed my mind but since I never even held AR15 in my hand before, I figured it is better to play it easy.

I served with these:
