Lost My Best Friend
« on: December 09, 2014, 09:24:38 AM »
Hey Guys, Feeling like crap right now, my wife, Fran passed away last Friday evening. I've got to put on a suit in a few and go to the funeral home to see her for the first time since this #$%* went down. We just celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary on the 16th of last month. She was my best friend and not sure how to go on without her. Please say a prayer for her if you will Thanks, John

My sympathies and prayers to you and your family at this difficult time in your life.  40 years was a good time to spend together, but God evidently had other plans for her in His kingdom.  God bless you and yours.

John, there is nothing that can be said to make it better.  It will get a bit better over time. Try to think of the good times rather than the last days.

I'm with Bobby having been through it recently I'll be coming up to the first anniversary in days there is nothing people can say to make it better only time will do that, you lost at 40 I lost at 47 years my best friend, the light of my life, there isn't a day when I don't think of her, talk to her and if you want comfort, good luck, from my experience you basically put one foot in front of the other tuck your head in and keep on going, I am profoundly sorry for your loss and when you think about it she would not want you to give up she'd want you to keep trying. If you have kids give them a hug, it will be tough for them to.

I pray that the Good times/loves you've both had together will stay w/ you as a living legacy to keep her heart together w/ yours as One and continue to make you the Good person you are from now and on into the days ahead.
I can't begin to even imagine what it's like for you now..,except that now you're making a fresh start   :) Just don't forget that 'living legacy'  Every day starts a brand new life.  ;)

THANK-YOU all for your kind words and prayers!! Today was rough however tomorrow will be even rougher, having to say my final goodbye. We had a picture slide show and my sons synced a lot of meaningful music to it. It was beautiful but very emotional. Her favorite song was If I Should Fall Behind Wait For Me by Bruce Springsteen. I think I loaded a link to it below.Give it a listen if you'd like. Hope you enjoy it and say a quick prayer for Fran. Thanks again to everyone!! John

My condolences. It's wonderful how you describe your wife. Gather strength from the memories you have had with her and feel blessed you had that time. Tomorrow is one day ahead. Face it with thoughts of her by your side and lead the life that she would be proud of.
