Topic: Quiet Core stainless muffler

I feel the %subj% needs to be tied to the frame somehow, being 18" long it can not just stick out by itself held in place by exhaust studs only.

I don't have the option to weld SS, do you think sheet metal screws would be enough to hold a bracket to the muffler?

Yeah, i felt the same way. Too heavy to be supported just by the studs, especially with the bumpy roads here.
I would think screws might work themselves out over time. 
Best to try and find someone to TIG a bracket on for you.  Check CL in the Services listings. 
A 12pk of beer can go a long way

Djfob...how did you secure the muffler to the header?    This clamp is good to connect it to the frame for support, but whats keeping the end of the can from bounding up and down and wiggling loose?

If it's a snug fit over the collector I'd split it with a hacksaw and put a T bolt hose clamp on it. Jegs or Summit have them. They hold the engines in drag cars, I used them on the mufflers I used to make and sell.

Cheap too. I also get a long way with a box of beer.
Especially with motorcycle projects. Who doesn't like motorcycles?

Machine an aluminum clamp with a groove that goes over the weld at the back..could be only 3/16 thick except at bolt area. I know the clamp at fat part of meg does not look the best, but will work, till you tighten something on later.

My quiet core fits really snug to my cycle x 4-2-1. I just use a t bolt clamp. In addition to the muffler braced to the frame it's not going anywhere.

SS is an option as well of course, would even look better.
Just ment to say that you can mig weld on Stainless

Nice to see a man size glass there:). In my country, beer unit is half a liter, beer bottles are half a liter, of course we are way ahead everybody in beer drinking per person:
