Temporarily unable to take on head porting work
« on: February 19, 2015, 09:11:18 AM »
I need 6 weeks to catch up and finish the work on hand. I will complete work for people who I have been in correspondence with up to this date. I'd also like to thank everyone for their interest and opportunity to work on their parts.

Thanks Frank. I have an engine I have to concentrate on that has been here for well over a year. I also want to start on my CBX engine which has been out of the bike for 2 years. Plus a number of heads on my benches in various stages of work.
It is difficult to express my appreciation towards the folks that trust me with their parts.....I really do work on everything like it was my own. ;)

+1 on all comments. We are fortunate to have Mikes experience and expertise available.  I too know firsthand the dedication and commitment to quality Mike brings to the table. Fortunately I too have 2 Stage IV's and a Stage III on Calendar Girl. One of the "special" Stage IV's on Samauto, damn Sam wish you were here or coming back soon. Mike, backlog, c'mon man. A little snow slowing  you down? Lol, man I feel for y'all. Good luck catching up, Bill

I'm sure you can, it likely won't have anything done to it though... Given how busy he is, probably take that long for him just to ship it back untouched.

Maybe you could take a turn on Mike's snow shoveling and free up some time for him?  :D

My machine shop has 5 of my heads sitting there....that's a first! ;D Been "massaging" a set of Golden Rods for the past 2 nights. The bolt heads need trimming and tuning etc. The bolts grab way before they bottom on the cap.....you can only wonder what that does for actual torque readings. They are getting there.

I think he just did! Two nights spent on those rods and they're still not ready to be trusted....at least for a certain JMR standard.

Thanks, Mike :D   I know how much you LOVE the old stuff! ::)  Hopefully I didn't ruin you regarding 'vintage' RC hipo parts....   You let me talk you into reinventing my old school big bore motor.   I told you I'm a bad influence.   Running and ducking....
