Anyone know this guy?
« on: February 26, 2015, 11:43:49 PM »
Just finished wiring up the headlight bucket it looks like everything is a go - I don't have the tank and exhaust on to fire it up - but when I was done this little guy is hanging out like a leftover Ikea bracket.  Front and rear blinkers, head/tail light, high/low, horn, indicator lights, speedo/tach are all operational.  Anyone recognize him?  It's a 71 cb500 four.

If it is grey, it goes from the blinkers shifter to the blinker relais under the left side cover. That's from the wiring diagram of
the 550 four, but should be the same.

The brown is a spare inside the headlamp.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Extra brown in my lamp too. CB750-K6.
It's written in the circuit diagram too. Brown is 5A for rear light (except brake light that will blow the main fuse when shorted)

It is a spare as noted and it is switched, so not constant live and can be used to run an accessory.

That spare brown wire is used in some over seas bikes that have a small bulb  in the bucket used as a parking lamp. Not used in the USA

I have that headlight with small bulb in it, and I'm in the USA. I'm using it.  And yes it is wired to that Brown wire ;)

PO at it again :)

wjustinleigh You may find some extra green (ground) wires one by the coils and one under the left side cover. At least they are on a 750.

Factory optional air conditioning hook up.  :) Might also be the blinker fluid level indicator light that was also optional.

That's only available as an option on the Custom bikes if being run in the US
