CB350F Cylinder Sud Removal

Is it possible to remove a cylinder stud from an engine after just removing the valve cover? The reason I ask is I have some oil weaping out from where the stud passes through the lower base of the cylinder bank into the lower crank case. I built the engine about four years ago would rather not take the engine apart again without trying any other simple fix first of course. Any one have any suggestions?

Use heat and penetrating liquid of some kind.  I would recommend using a stud puller as well to lessen the chance of snaping a stud off.  APE makes one.

I just replaced a valve cover gasket because of a leak. Now I find this one. How is the oil getting out of there? It's after you get the engine hot and coming off throttle to idle it bubbles up around the stud.

Found the simple fix! Pulled the Valve Cover back off and retorqued the cylinder and stopped the leak!

That would have made sense but I was on my 24 hr shift looking for info or possible solutions for the next day. Got home and dove in and tried the torque solution. Never dreamed it would actually work! Thanks for the input!
