If you can afford the extra coin, it's worth it.  It's a much nicer system.

I'm using a ceramic silver coated system from Carpy on my 500/4. Beautiful fit and finish. Sounds mean too. Very happy with my purchase.

Then there's the Delkevic (sp?) as a late entry. Best IMO bang for the buck perhaps?

And at the bottom of the heap is the Mac. I'd rate Carp's above the Mac.

At one time, a few years back, we had the Kerker and the Mac period!

The site isn't like your typical site where you can throw stuff in a cart and proceed to check out. Chris does a few runs of his exhaust each year. Best way to get the ball rolling is to call him and let him know you are interested in one. He'll let you know a general timeline and go from there.

Looks like oil changes are a bit labor intensive with that one ::)

+1 ouch!

MotoGPWerkes system is off in under a minute with 6 springs to pull off to do an oil change.  The quality of his products is incredible.  I have his swingarm going on my CB550 once I wrap up the wiring.

The MotoGPwerks systems look really nice and the designers background in racing for many years make this to a real thing.
BUT, I would like to have 2 options not available today.
1.) Like of the old Yoshimura 4-1 with a lower angled baffle with an ear that will fit the passengers footpeg mount. Baffle ends 1-2" behind the ear. 4-2-1 version would be nice.
2.) An alternative to the longer 4-2-1 system, alse with lower angle with a rear mount just under the passengers footpeg.

I do not know how the flow affects by adding a short adaptor mounted in the end of the 4-2-1 that change the angle of the following baffle. How this is mounted will make it possible to fit either under K0-K6 footpeg mount, or K7-K8 or F bikes...

I should order direct if there were a 4-2-1 system avalable with lower angled baffle. My bike will still be designed for a passenger.
2 different diffusers would be fine too. For good output with OK sound level (except WOT) in town and another for the annual Vehicle Inspection, for my bike only every 2:nd year when it is over 30 years old.

one caveat  - Chris told me I couldnt run his pipe with a centerstand on a cb550.  I have the carpy pipe and the centerstand (bike is cover pic on 2015 calendar 2 in here)
I recently restored and sold a 77 cb750f, and am nearly finished with a (former basket case) cb750k5.  This is a place to share, learn and enjoy.  I am grateful to and for 99+% of this site's membership.

A lot of the Aussie 4 into 1's had the tail pipe section above the rear footpeg mount, with an extended bolt running through a "tube" mount under the muffler, with the peg still in the original place, just a little wider, I've had a few like this and it works well.... ;)

Cycle X has a great variety of pipes to suit many tastes. All at very good prices in my opinion. Can't say enough good things about Ken there , he stands behind his products and has an excellent friendly attitude.

then there is that tall claiming horse power gains "X" pipe made by Cambell X-Pipe

Said to boost low end by 40%!
