It's always something when owning a house.  The master bathroom remodel is next on our list. We've already done the kitchen, all flooring [except mas bath] and landscaping.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that once I finish all of the house projects I'll have to start back at the beginning and replace whatever I did first because it will now be old and broken.  ;D ;D :'(

I got the tank stripped in prep for powdering it.....but I may have to paint it. There's just too much damage. The couple dents on the top I may have some luck pulling but the old rust repair in the back corner isn't going to be that easy to smooth over. I'm going to try to braze it some more but I'm betting that bondo and a tank lining are in my future.

I guessed rust repair since there is visible pitting just above the nasty spot but, at this point, I haven't completely ruled out leprosy or tank-eating zombie bacteria either.

Made a bit more progress last week. The tach is back together and functioning. I had to spring for the joker machine gauge clamps since my crimp rings were both beyond salvageable. I probably could have found new crimp rings for less but this way the gauges will be serviceable in the future.



I also found this stuff that I'm going to try on the leprous tank. The internet says that it works well as body filler for powder coating. Given the price, I'm hoping the internet is correct:

Well, it's been forever and a day but I'm finally getting back to this build. I had grand plans of recreating something similar to the stock 4-into-4 exhaust. However, the urge to just ride has overridden my wishful thinking. So, I bit the bullet and bought a set of Delkavic 4-into-1 pipes for it. I got them on last night and fired it up for the first time in 20 years. It ran surprisingly well. Now, to tackle that tank welt......

Man, I stink at follow through. I finished this bike up back in the spring and have put almost 500 miles on it already.  I just got Frank's emblems painted and installed today though. Here's a couple of wrap up shots.
