Yup, that's quite a collection you have there. 8)

So perhaps I'm not understanding exactly the point of the thread, so help me out.  Are we doing a general show and tell of our big bore parts for the heck of it?  Are we looking to put together parts for Frankie's new motor project?

What's the plan here fearless leader ;D

Billy,

I don't recall reading the fine details about your Cobra motor.  Since you just had her all apart, could you tell us what's inside that ancient monster?

Piston size/make/compression
Rods
Crank
Trans
Chains
Cam
Springs/retainers
Gaskets, stick with RC metal and copper o-rings?
Studs
Rotor?
Starter?

Nice. 8)

You are using a factory cylinder with big sleeves at 73mm?  I know the sleeves are reasonably thin at 73mm bore.  I have always wondered how well the factory cylinder supports such a large bore and thin walls since the sleeves break through the casting of the cylinder.

No problems with it so far?

I had two blocks bored for 72mm by Kenny and he used some sleeves from Dynoman as they have some that are thicker.  LA Sleeve also has some thick sleeves to use for really big stuff.  Only problems I have are I am still getting a very little oil seep after a couple of runs even with the orings around the base of the sleeves.  Still trying different things to stop the seep.   Next plan...I bought a tore down RC motor with a 73mm RC big block and other goodies :)  Should be here this week!

I use 1194 around the sleeves and have had no problems with leaks. That is for tapered 915 sleeves etc too.
