Got the Black motor back in the frame and will proceed with the reassembly. Found out you can install a complete motor in the frame with rocker boxes on, but you have to remove 2 of the center head bolts. I had to drill out the Hinkley clutch perch and narrow the barrel on the cable to accept the earlier clutch cable barrel.

Engine back in the frame. Great stuff, pivotal moment in any build. Another one saved, good on ya mate  :)

Would it be too picky to ask about that rear sprocket? Is it staying that way? Stands out a bit to my eye (but what would I know ::))?

Yes, don't know yet if the colors will be modified or not. I just noticed, and am surprised no one else did, that I have the rocker boxes swapped front to rear. The oil cooler goes on the other side.

Or machine a few holes in it to mirror the front disc, then chrome to balance the headers? Just a thought...

I'm checking now with Slikwilli420 to put 10 holes in it to match the rotors.

Like I said, not sure of the colors for the badges yet, probably black background with gold letters.

Looking good PM.  Is the color green or gold or greenish/gold?  Photos aren't color correct I assume-know what happens though when one does that..Larry

The stock color was called Spring Gold and was more green like the tank color now. I'm actually changing the color slightly to late model Jeep Rescue Green which you can see on the fenders now. It's darker and has red in the metal flake. It fits nicer with the blacked out chrome than the lighter Spring Gold does.

Had all the parts laying around needed to fab up the front upper brake line. I may slide a piece of shrink wrap over it to keep it from chaffing the headlight bracket.

One could never call me a Triumph fan, nevertheless I admire the work taking place here.

I'd love to hear this classic fire up when the day arrives.

Bravo PM.

Found a tidy spot behind the side cover for the rear brake reservoir. Need to move it up an inch to clear the chain guard. Sprocket doesn't look so massive with the chain guard on.

Might hit the tank with some paint tomorrow.

Sprocket Specialist's has rear sprockets in high grade aircraft alloy that have holes drilled the way you might like and they also have a very hard surface treatment process called 'Titan Tough' that makes the sprocket last much longer,it's a gold finish also.I have one if you'd like a pic later.

I'm looking at options. The price I was quoted to put 10 holes in this one is about twice what I can buy a new one for. So I'm looking at replacing it if I can't get the cost down to do mine. SS should have a chart to input the dimensions to relate to part numbers they have.
grcamna2, I'd love to see a pic of yours.
