CB750F1 'o' rings.
« on: February 21, 2016, 10:30:33 AM »
Hi,

I managed to buy a new old stock genuine Honda CB750F1 top gasket set (part no 06110-393-S00).

It has only two rubber 'o' rings for the oil feed to the cylinder head. (part no 91310-426-000) 11x2.5mm.

When I dismantled the motor it had two fitted with the cylinder base gasket and two fitted with the cylinder head gasket.

My question is have Honda deleted the requirement for other two 'o' rings from the cylinder base gasket or  the cylinder head gasket?

Not sure where to fit the two supplied 'o' rings!

regards

Skoti.

I'm not an expert on the changes made to the F bikes, but oil flows through those holes and both should have an o-ring. You can find 2 more at a hardware store that are the correct size. Just make sure they are the thickness that honda calls for (can't remember what it is off hand) as they need to "squish" a certain amount to prevent leaking. (Ask how I know

As Davez said, you need o-rings there.  Check it against the parts list:

http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb750f1-super-sport-1976-european-direct-sales_model14681/partslist/

to find the size you need and than you can buy it locally.  The kit is likely not complete.
