I meant that when it's mounted should it be wobbling when you move it by hand. I think modern sportbikes dampers move a little when in place. So they are not stationary or stiff. There is a little play. Maybe I just remember wrong...

For normal street riding, it should not be so tight that it limits range of movement.  However, it should not be flopping about.

I've been looking for a seat for a while. I tried to find good reviews on some but there was not mutch to be found. Of course I could make my own seat, but I don't have the skills or equipment to do so. So the only option for me was to buy one. If only I could find a good one.

Tuffside was a brand that came up and there were some good feedback and the seats looked 10/10. So I contacted them and made an order. There was some special wishes like the passenger strap and they all were included. Chris replied all my messages fast and all in all the customer service couldn't be better.

The seat itself is a quality product. Flawless. Handmade. It is a universal seat so I have to modify the frame to make it fit. That work is still in progress, but I got to fit the seat on it's place and I'm pleased. Wasn't cheap, but worth it. Happy with the color too. I was between dark brown and black.

Nice project. Tuff side seats are the tits!  8)

I picked up a Taiwanese ebay seat from a local guy. It's for a future projects. The quality isn't bad. I think they go for $50 on ebay.

Today was a welding day. We welded the rear hoop on and some mounting points for the seat. Also a mounting point for the steering damper. I still have to smooth those welds and make holes for the seat mounts. Hope the tire won't hit the frame or the seat when there is load on the bike. Some people have had problems with the clearance.

We also have to think should there be a rear fender or not. How to mount the brake light and maybe relocate the license plate down on the side. So some things still needs to be taken care of but there was good progress today.

You shouldn't have clearance issues with the hoop, as it is at an upward angle, but you'll want to keep clearance in mind for your taillight/fender.

I would rather not go with the 17" wheel. Just laced an 18" rim that I found from ebay. I also have brand new k112 on it so I really hope there is enough clearance.

You should be ok with a 18" wheel as to the hoop.  You may need to watch anything you mount below it.

I put the rear wheel back on just to see how it clears. I think it will be ok. Fenderless. Not sure what is the case if I put a fender on. Looking good with the seat.

I figured as much.  I've seen bikes that don't run any rear fenders and (even in California) the electronics look dirty and haggard.

Steering damper mounted and just trying to fit the rear light on. Looks really nice. That's the cleanest version I could come up with. Hopefully the wheel won't hit it.

Front fender is off waiting to be cutted smaller. So it will not be ridden without it.

Waiting some parts to arrive so it was time to make brackets for the rear turn signals. I also painted that emblem on the left cover.

I have to replace the front brake hydraulic pressure switch. It somehow stopped working during winter. License plate light has to be sorted out. I've seen some people riding already here in Finland. Still too cold for me. Maybe a month and it will be a season start.

I got everything back together. Side mounted the license plate and did wiring for the plate light. Looks good now. I also tried to start it, but it didn't idle well. It was firing all cylinders but something is not right. It ran with choke ok, but after I closed it the bike shut down. There was this sticky stuff coming out of the carb bowls. Drained it and opened it. Clean and the gas was clean too. Also the fuel filter was clean. Maybe the stuff is gasket sealant. Maybe. That won't explain why there is that same stuff on the air screw. Overall happy how the tail section looks now when all is done. Just have to figure out this running problem.

I tried also another mirror on as you can see from the pictures. I think I stick with the bar end ones...

It looks like varnished fuel that was driven into the bowls. Perhaps from a petcock or orifice within the carbs? If it's oozing out of the seam, that would lead me to believe the fuel level is high enough to force the fluid up and out at that level. Might want to do a Clear Tube fuel level check.

That goo looks like varnished gas.  You might want to re-clean (ultrasound) your carbs again, too.

The other thing I meant to mention, if the air screws are seeping that goop, they are likely clogged up too and will negatively effect your carb tuning. It would not surprise me the bike is running rough with that seepage.  :(
