Topic: Locknuts instead of tongue washers

Hey everyone, I should be ok to use nylon locknuts instead of the regular nut and tongue washer for the front and rear hubs correct?  anyone do locktite and a nylon locknut?

I wouldnt trust just a nyloc nut for that application. 
Locktite would certainly make it safer.   Tongue washers are still available.

From what I'm reading locknuts were used in later models in the late 70s for the cb750.

When proper size is available and I'm not doing a back to stock I use nylocs for nut and convert to allens for every bolt/screw.  No Loctite and never had a problem.  ...Larry

Yea I saw those as well.  Spin locks and some locktite should do the trick then no matter what correct?

I use nylocks for brake discs, rear sprocket and other critical applications.  Never had a problem.
