24 Hours of Le Mans, 2016
« on: June 13, 2016, 06:13:16 AM »
Oh, you know me and this race! Disappointed only slight coverage as the whole race use to be televised.

The Audi and Porsche battle last year in P1 was fantastic. Can Corvette do it again? Only one car last year but still won class. How will Ford fair in the mix. Back after a long absence.

Going to be great but it always is.

Excited about this as well, especially since the GT40 will be back.

Jay Leno's Garage [the show] had a cool piece on this last season, told the story about when Ford originally built the GT and won it.

tt - wondering if the entire race may be stream live?

That's a great link! Finding several streaming sites also.

Yes, the GT is beautiful. No doubt about it. I'll have to cheer for the Corvette team and Porsche in P1.

I haven't had time to verify but Ford and Corvette are in the same class. LMGT Pro I believe.

Cool, live stream from inside a Corvette and a GT Ford. Oh, nothing sounds better than the P1 Audi and P1 Porsche.

Check out the upper left.

I think Ford ought to be a bit more careful with it's publicity about returning to Le Mans with the GT especially considering all the publicity they made about the new GT earlier this year at 24 hrs of Daytona only to get waxed by the C7R Vettes. Granted it was a brand new car but I really hope they have all the bugs worked out on the new GT this time around.

24 hours is a long time but yes, hoping for good results. If I could just win the sweepstakes I could order one. In red.

The pole is set in P1.

Porsche, Toyota, Audi.

Would really like to see Toyota do well this year. Last year some yahoo (Audi) took their last entry out.

The Ford GTs were 1 & 2 in GT Pro class. Should be an interesting race. The Toyotas are still in the running, nobody has gotten stupid yet.

It looks like FS1/FS2 have to shuffle the race back and forth to slot in the Copa America Quarterfinals.

Going to have a problem with that, at least I do. Programming just states the race at different times. When I hit the dvr it only records the first event and no more after that. Duplicate recording. No episode numbers.

I'll have to tape one event at a time but plan on watching most with exception to the 0230 broadcast.

Foxsportsgo is ready also for streaming.

Looks like the orders are done already but it's fun to configure one.

Supercool.  I'd probably never pick this color scheme but I was going for Gulf-style colors:
