Looks similar to the condition of mine before teardown.  The 80 will give you good carburetor options.

Wait! Is that early 750 carbs I see on that 650?  I didn't know that they would swap. My 80 came with PDs, I have a set of early 750 carbs on the shelf, may have to look into this a little further. Wouldn't that be another great option.

They may be just hose holding the carbs on, in that case cut them..might be tighter due to carbs being off other model..

They could be.  I have never seen the 79-80 carburetors close up.  The carburetors from those early models match up (spacing-wise) to the 750s.  My 650 engines were 1981 and 1982 models.  I only have a separate 1980 cylinder head.
