Finished 14 month ground up restor mod on this 1976 CB750.
Special thanks and warm appreciation to Mark Paris (Hondaman) for taking on all the mechanical and electrical work of the project.

Mark completely rebuilt engine, swing arm, suspension, clutch,  and all things electrical. Mark inspected and either cleaned, repaired or replaced just about every mechanical and electrical part.

Paint is House of Kolor Candy Brandywine with gold Metabuls.   Lots of new parts from Yamiya including brand new Honda seat. New wheels fro  Wheelworks of Orange County new front forks. Gauge restored by Marcel. Received IKON shocks and progressive springs. Last but not least a Dyno test and tune.

Have about 500 miles on it now and it runs like new.

My biggest issue now is that it draws a crowd every time I stop and it impacts my riding time.....

Only 14 months for a ground-up rebuild? Not bad, must've had lots of money saved up already for it!

Yes, lots of money. Anyway food is overrated. Who needs 3 meals a day.

I can spend all I want (lord knows I have been), but being that I'm rebuilding everything on my own (except the swingarm, that's going to Hondaman), I just don't have the time to get it done in that time! I'll be lucky to get it done this year, which puts me at 16-18 months.

Dyno by Mach1ca.com. Located in Costa Mesa. The owner Long Mach loves these old bikes. I highly recommend this shop.

After Mark (hondaman) finished the mechanical work, which included tuning. I brought the bike home to California. The bike was running a little rough ar constant speeds like 50 or 60. Seemed like the carbs needed fuel or air.  Now remember Mark is at 1 mile above sea level in Denver and I'm at sea level. So this was not a surprise.
I decided to have Mach1 put it on the Dyno to check it out. They did and found it needed some very slight adjustments in air to fuel mix. It really helped and smoothed out the issue.

Max Hp seen was 52 at 7800 rpm. Max tortuous 37.8 at 6520 rpm

The Dyno test cost $150. With very little work needed to achieve desired results. The cost can go up if more work is needed. Up to $600 is common.

Now that sounds right. I have read so many claims of 69's etc etc etc making 20% and more than that and it is bull$hit IMO. You are not going to get 60 or 65HP out of stock size valves and cam no matter what the tweak.
 Nice to know I have helped 572cc 550's get over 70 HP. ;D ;D ;D ;D
 Bike looks very nice...congratulations.

Gorgeous bike.  I grew up in Mission Viejo.  It could use a few more CBs!

Pardon me for raining on anyone's parade, but a restore is not what I see here. There is so much period incorrectness in this build that it is more a customization than  Restoration.

A nice job, none the less.
Kudos!!
