Bill as the Zen Master says iit's about balance, it sounds like you and the demon forgot that dictum you because of commitments and the demon because of sloth I think what you have to do is look at all and sundry and people there a couple of projects that I need to work because I would like to finish them before I get to a point where I can't, no I won't cut you out but I need to work on them and when I am, you will have to cope, and then you can hold me up as a horrible example, I've got things that I would like to finish but now I can't because of physical problems problems I didn't have at 70 but at 77 guess what, so I will go to my grave with them undone. C'est la vie. Any how it's about balancing everyone's needs with yours. Thus speaks the demon.

I sure get where you are coming from. I myself, am coming upon 70, in March and, so far, I have days that I have a time doing much, but am still moving and, most of the time, not too badly. I can still work on things, though I do my best to have as much of what I need, so I don't have to go back and forth into the garage, to get tools or whatever. And, if I have to get down on a creeper or on the driveway, to check something or do something, I lose a lot of time, if I have to get back up and get something else. So, I try to plan better and more thoroughly. Sorry to hear about Your issues and hope you can get, at least, somewhat better. Great to hear from you. Your input is always appreciated, like anyone else's, but you've "Been There" and I am still "Getting There".  ;)

I think things are getting better as i go through life,I just need to remember that every morning is like a brand new fresh start in Life every time I wake up;I get a new chance every morning w/ fresh choices, that's not bad when you think of it.  ::)  :)

Yeah, sounds like you have a good thing going. How long you been gone from Georgia?

3 years now, just part of 'the journey'.   :)

Just wondered, we left there in August of 2013, ourselves. I moved back to Arkansas and, of course, brought everyone with me. Georgia was alright, but Arkansas was where we needed to be.

I lived there for 10 months and left in May 2013.I didn't know anyone in Toccoa but wanted to see if I was meant to live there.I'm up here now but will move out West because of problems with my lungs. They found nodules in the upper part of both lungs, there are a Lot of airborne allergies here also and I'm allergic to 15 known things,I take shots every month. The air is much drier out West and much less allergens there so nothing holding me here.

I can clearly understand the reason to move out west, in your case. Over the years, I have heard of a lot of folks moving to Arizona, with lung issues. Any idea where you will be headed?

Bill I knew things had to get better because they couldn't get any worse.
Sad you lost your wife because that would be so hard for me to take as she is my world for 36 years.
I was born to a 15YO boy and 14 YO girl in the Mountains of N Alabama so my 14 YO mom passed me around and i didn't go to school. lived under buildings and ate out of trash cans etc for years but never did steal and raised myself.
So I knew life had to get better as suicide was always on my mind and once played Russian roulette twice with a 5 shot revolver.
Thank God the US had a war going at 17YO and the USMC did not care " at the time" I had no education and they enlisted me 0311 and to Vietnam I went. That is when life became good and i had all the food i could eat and most of the time slept in a bed.  fast forward Honorable Discharged Sgt- GI Bill gave me an education , Now Disabled US Marine , retired Avionics Technician , retired Real Estate Agent , have a machine / welding shop , build Street Rods and Classic cars for a hobby.

What changed was I worked hard to became debt free in 1989 and then answered to no one doing only what i want . Life is great and now all i do is fish and play with my toys.  BTW - Wife works at a fun Job on the local military base , 4 kids are raised and professionals , 10 grand children live with both married parents in owned homes and go to private of Christian Schools.
I broke all chains that bound me , provided for my love ones , care for the elderly and ---" My People " = the homeless where i came from !
It is time to stop and smell the roses for us all , for me my Orange / Tangerine Orchard and Gardening is so enjoyable
