I haven't been able to test and tune the gl I was putting together. I'm a giant pussy when it comes to temperature. I also haven't taken my quad out all season. We usually do night quad riding in the snow a few times a year, when and if it snows.

yes..but the barzillis just not as good as japanese made dt..i had more 1990 dt aircooled..old types vith drumbrakes. i got one from a import/exporc Company..show room bike. put all stuff on a Danish frame to get it licensed..but had a long thain of problems..and sold it ..it vas ignision coils and small problens..the exhosts system vas gone in 2 sesons..and cost as mutch as a new bike..but i run a lot on salt ice as you can see on the film..it can be hard for even a half off road bike

now i got a 1982 mk1 LC-dt..but the ignision is gone..just tired of 2 strokes..

Yeah I don't know about reliability of the bigger ones but my 175 was great. Probably why the Yamaha blaster quad is so reliable, the engines are very similar.

Any other 2 stroke mx bike seems to be hit or miss.

ha funny thing...that farm is my home.born place NORDKRONEGAARD..the uncel leif,,is my father... i lived there the first 20 years of my live..the sailers must be my cousin..(fathers Brother) thild..i have no contakt to my Family..and have left the iland...so funny to see sole relatives..vho i not have seen for 30+ years..they are looking a bit more gray he he..some in Family dont like my vife..so i broke with most of them them..

i have not seen that video before yoy vrote abaut it..the iland name is stryn ø..

The 50cc is a remarkable machine, if the transfer ports were enlarged who knows what it could do, but it would probably sacrifice low end torque which is already a drawback.

It was almost 60 degrees here today. If it wasn't for a layer of wet salt from earlier this week, one of my bikes would have been going for a ride. 1hr ride= 2 hrs cleaning the salt off, didn't go.
 The roads had a chance to dry up by end of day so if the temps are high, maybe ride tomorrow.

 We had rain so the salt is gone and the sun came out today, 55*F. I rode the 78 gl1000 a few miles, topped off the gas and worked on it a little. All the 750's are apart, stored or in the trailer.

Could have gone for a ride, the weather was nice enough, but the ground I have to ride on to get to the street was mushy to walk on, the 750 would have sunk in the mud...3.74" of rain in 35 hours.

Hey RB,  can you afford a vacation...toss the bike in the truck and head down to SC or southern GA  to get to warm weather and enjoy some riding and R&R.  Or hop a plane to Phoenix and rent a bike to take a ride further SW down to Tucson and down to Tombstone and Bissbee for some sightseeing and nice weather. Warning it will be cooler down in Tombstone and Bisbee area because of the greater elevation.  Stop and see Nils and Haris2luv to see some cool bike parts getting some loving care.  Rent car and go see Grand Canyon, swing up to Prescott area and have lunch with Scottly.  Go see the Painted Desert (maybe Meteor Crater and quick stop in  the town in AZ for "...the flatbed on a corner" for a photo Op) before heading back to Phoenix for the flight back home.

just for today, another storm tonight/tomorrow, but we REALLY NEED the rain.  being in the desert 2 or 3 days of no rain and the "mud" will turn to concrete again, or dirt is caliche.

Very cool, that motor was screaming in the beginning!  Doesnt seem to handle that well in the snow either...
