i bought the Aether Badlands jacket last sunday.  It's $900 :( .   you can click the picture to check out it's features and buy one if you are so inclined.   i justified it in my mind because i need a race level street jacket, and i feel bad when i try on a bunch of expensive stuff and don't buy anything, and i tried the medium and small on about 20 times each cause I'm kinda in the middle.

There are tons of jackets just as safe for half the price and just as good looking.  I can have armor installed in those pleather $50 faux-moto jacket department store jobs for dirt cheap.

don't get me wrong it's a siiiiiick jacket, its very very light for how much armor is in it, fits good, looks real nice, really good pit vents, my pits were cold on a 65 degree day on the highway with a t-shirt under.  Its designed to wear on "warm" days even though it's full leather and the leather feels really thick and high quality.  I'm just not 100% sold on the look or the fit on me and its too expensive to keep if it aint "the" jacket I wanna keep.  Thank god i bought it on my credit card.  Im gunna go back and try on other jackets, maybe get something cheaper and get a pair of pants too.

$900 and made in China? Wow, can't you buy an old SOHC4 AND and jacket, gloves, helmet and boots made in China for 900 bucks in the US mate? Take that fcuker back! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

+1...just bought 2 nice vintage leathers for $25 a piece at the swap meet.  I really don't need them.  Plus motorcycle safety has come a long way in the 30 or 40 years since these were made.  Still rather have some good old leather between me and some possible ouchies.
If it works good, it looks good...

Waiting for my knee surgery I couldn't ride a bike...it was the next best thing to a bike.  1785 pounds with 425hp.

Sorry...buying a topless hotrod while you can't ride is not a sign of weakness!  That's called being reasonable.  While you may have a moment of weakness in your knee, it seems your brain is still strong!  Nice ride!  p.s. i hope it's not your clutch knee.  Now if it's an automatic...that might be considered weakness!

Thank you, gents! C5 Z06's were produced 2001-04, mine is an 02'. Has some mods done, she definitely scoots! Will be awesome for road racing, has 315 tires on all four corners.

That's my buddies 1946 Cessna 120. We took that to Indy for the MotoGP race actually. He's upgrading the puddle jumper next year.
I have seen or heard C5, C6 here with a compressor (supercharger) kit mounted.... That's the mod I'd to get installed if my garage should be larger ;)

Ha! This thing is so dialed in N/A that I don't even want to mess with it. It idles perfectly even with the aftermarket heads and cam on it. She's lovely. Did a track day Monday in it, she performed well.

One Sunday morning five years ago when I was bored surfing the internet I purchased online from DSS a complete Honda 750 exhaust kit.  The kit includes Honda HM300 exhaust pipes (in four individual Honda boxes), exhaust gaskets, exhaust clamps, exhaust flanges, exhaust heat shields, exhaust cross connectors c/w clamps, and an assortment of nuts, bolts and washers.  The box still sits in the basement as I have been too busy the past 5 years to work on the bike.  On a high note it is probably my best investment.  COG

A Bernadetti-Berretta .25 ACP (6.35mm to you Euro folks) made in 1948. I thought I'd hold a piece of history.
Now I've discovered I have to make my own parts for it... :(
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

What did I buy in a moment of weakness?

The bike I'm restoring now!  ;D  I had no intentions of doing something like this, but the passion of my mate who restores classic/vintage bikes (some to concours condition) kinda rubbed off on me, and after he let me ride his pristine condition 750 I was hooked!

It's good coz it gets me off my arse and approaching 70, that's a good thing!  8)
The bad thing is I'm spending money on it I never intended to, but.....no good takin' it to the grave! :D
