Here's a challenge for you snip. I'll race you any time any where!! First race will be to get our bikes on the road before spring!! After that, you name it! ;D Santa didn't bring me #$%* for my bike!!! So I guess I'll have to nut up and order the parts I need for my engine. I have everything else done, just have to spend money now. :'( :'(around $700 :'( :'( :'( :'( But I can't stand to see my bike laying all over the shop anymore!!!!!!!! And I miss going 120mph back and forth to work. Course is raining and 35 degrees right now so it's not a big deal.

I was being chased by some maniac Trucker for some reason i could never figure out. Downhill those Trucks can move. I took a quick glance down and the needle was around 100 mph which actually made things worse for me. I lost him on the next steep upgrade, got off at the next exit. While I know my 750 will do 100 dead stock, I don't do it. 75 MPH is my limit - too much wind noise, and too much strain on my aging wrists to hold on.
I like that old movie with Dennis Weaver "Duel" (1971 I think).  8)

I actually read the original short story in Playboy. It is not an unusual occurance for Trucker to mess with cars. Here is how the story came to be:

Story origins
The script is adapted by Richard Matheson from his own short story, originally published in Playboy magazine. It came from a real-life experience, in which Matheson was tailgated by a trucker on his way home from a golfing match with writer friend Jerry Sohl, on the same day as the Kennedy assassination. The short story was given to Spielberg by his secretary who read the magazine for the stories (source: DVD bonus material).

Some have proposed that it also may have been inspired by a 1947 episode of the old-time radio series Lights Out entitled What the Devil, which had a similar plot but different resolution.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duel_(film)

Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

if i stick the super pickle 'up my bum' will it come out looking like this?

i dread the day when you have electrical questions... which of these silver wires is the ground again?

while i am glad you got this shoe out of your ass, i cant help feeling partially responsible.  I go around here telling all manner of folk that anyone can bring one of these bikes back to life, that all it takes is the desire and some elbow grease.  i must have left out patience, attention to detail, as well as half a clue.
i realize it's too late for excuses, so at this point i would have to advise you to give the bike to your demolition expert and have it put out of its misery.

and i have officially put the super pickle up my bum to protect it from you and your rattlecan, hopefully the day will come soon, when you are off the street and i can remove the pickle from its uncomfortable place of safe keeping.

hmmmm  so much for supporting your fellow bike fixer (at least I'm trying, I'm not really a mechanic)

just a couple of judgemental A-holes "all about looks" it seems

Oh well, the ends justify the means....

it wasn't silver paint it was a metal primer i found to keep it from rusting again after I ground it down...

as for the house That pic was taken over a year ago a week after i bought the house

I should update those, but I have a life outside the forum

at least breeze said his with a smiley
