Any good scores at Mid Ohio?
« on: July 09, 2017, 11:46:07 AM »
Got back last night and counted what little was left of my cash and all the parts I picked up. Here's where the weekend shook out for me:

--GL1000 forks with excellent tubes for $20
--Morris wheels 2.15x19 front and 2.50x18 rear with bearing plates for $580
--750f gas tank that had been modified with knee dents, filed badge holes and fuel for eliminated for $30
--valve cover modified with can tower hold down bolts, two sets of cylinders, one stock head and one head with oversized Manley valves and l load of port work for $120
--new dyna s ignition for $70
--nearly new engine cases from a warranty replacement without serial stamped on it for $100

How did you do?
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

Not as good as you,  instead I went to Super Chevy at Cordova and sold car stuff to make room and money for bike stuff.

I wasn't looking for any 750 parts in particular. Did stumble across a good condition plastic inner fender to replace mine that has a hole in it: $5.00

Also found some fork tube caps and a steering stem nut for our Triumph rebuild: 30/pair and 20, respectively. Not a steal, but fair prices for the parts.

Also saw a really cool Vincent Rapide for sale. Wish I had a picture to show! I'm always overwhelmed with the sheer volume of bikes running around there. Such a cool event.

It must be very OK since I should have to pay much much more for shipping only! :)
I envy the valve cover cyl and head package :(
