Can you find Westlake Tires in the USA? They are “new” in Canada and were underselling everyone this summer. We used about 10 of them on the LEXUS race car and they performed and wore very well. Less than HALF the price of comparable “performance” tires…..

I would not hesitate to try them on a road vehicle.

My cargo trailer came with Westlake tires, but I'm sure they were not the 'performance' version.  Do seem to be standing up well though.

not mine but a mate bought a couple year old 79 series landcruiser v8 deisel and bought what we call here a "bullbar",its a TJM brand "frontal protection device "or some #$%*,anyway he wanted the bumper bar part white and the rest as is black,so we wet sanded and masked and got proper primer etc and it turned ok for a couple of beer drinkers last weekend,so today we go to fit the winch and find the control box aint no way going to fit as any instructions so we just bent and drilled mounts etc fitted it remote and its all good, had to shorten the fly leads to the motor and found they had crushed down 35 guage connectors to 25 guage wire!!plus had strands hanging out from the factory, pretty #$%*en shoddy?anyway we want it all good as the whole bullbar has to come of to service or fit n remove this winch, hopefully mount it tomorrow.

Dave,it looks like that "bullbar"? is made to strengthen the front of a vehicle's frame?

yeah you take off the factory bumper Bill then under the flimsy bumper is the actual bumper bar strong frame, you ditch all that then bolt this on,gives a solid front end for winching with aswell, mates into those canam buggies and is in a group that go away weekends get into mud etc and seem to enjoy getting bogged in the stuff?

Im not sure if proper bull bars on heavy trucks and 4WD are legal eleswhere in the world?we have bars on trucks that are canted forward so anything it hits like an animal gets pushed down onto the road then under the wheels, driver doesent batt an eye lid in the bush, plus if theres zombies, just flatten em!

We have plenty of bumpers like that around here. The police even have them for using the PIT maneuver to knock the bad guys off the road. 8)

Very popular here in Central Texas where there are a lot of animals [deer & cattle] roaming around. I even have a small one on my Tacoma...

It was "Hunter's Weekend" at my friends ranch this past weekend and although I no longer hunt, I still go for the fun, including a classic car drive.

Was really cool have three generations of the Corvette on the drive, a '60 C1, a 63 C2 and my '70 C3.

Drew a small crowd when we stopped midway through the drive...

My buddy Jim from Atlanta shot a very nice 9 pt buck...

We finished up rebuilding the trailer for the 12' aluminum boat. We rebuilt the suspension including making mounts, fenders and everything behind them. Next up is making a new wiring harness and all new lights.
What we started with had been through several Billy Bubba rebuilds and was a complete mess. 8)

Interesting color choice, does it match the boat? Or was on sale?!!

Years ago, I had a galvanized boat trailer, hated the look of it.  One weekend when my boat stayed in the water, I spray bombed the trailer in the parking lot of the boat ramp!  Looked a little better but not by much.

It's close to the color on the inside of the boat and I had some on hand. It's called safety blue.

The old EZ-Loader trailers were close to this blue with white fenders. Originally this trailer used to be a roller trailer for a 16' fiberglass boat. It wasn't street legal when we started, it would have cooked a wheel bearing as well. It came here on our big flatbed trailer.

I was looking at photos of a fairly new 48' camper/car hauler gooseneck trailer, it was pretty nice and under $10K. Then I saw the frame, it's totally rusted out, no bottoms in the frame tubes, I can't really see a way to fix it.
It must have been parked in the ocean.

Did it have salt water damage, and you needed to cut and replace sections of the frame ?
Nice Job on the finished product.

The frame behind the fenders was gob welded on uni-strut made by Billy Bubba hisself. The fenders were made from sheet metal and conveyor belt and the lights were Harbor Freight specials that didn't work and not waterproof. We added 4 side marker lights, new taillights and a license plate light.

My wife is doing another barn quilt (8’ X 8’ painted monster) with a friend. I had to get the big table saw out to cut some frame and mounting pieces for her project.

While I was at it, ripped the scraps and knocked together some box sides for “Ruby”. The same lady is always over loading the box with yard waste……. Used the existing stake pockets. Coat of red paint and they might last a few years?

Barn Quilt? Here’s a sample; 4’ X 4’. They’ve done more than 25, all on barns around our area…..
