Well I finally got the K1 out of the dining room. Over the winter I did a little polishing and actually an oil change while it was in the house. (Don't tell the wife, she was gone and will never know) I put some gas in the tank, dropped in the new battery included in the sale, and thumbed the starter button.
I'm in Love..............

It started up with the choke about half way, and just sat there idling. I quickly put on a jacket and helmet and I was off. No tags, no insurance, no nothing, but damn it I was going to ride it a few miles. So I did. But no worries. I live in a really rural area and the chances of me even meeting another car let alone a cop are pretty small.
The sounds coming from the unbaffled 4-4 were amazing!
Before this day I had never rode a CB750. I had rode my CB650 quite a bit and my CB500 just a little before I tore it apart. Never a CB750.
The power, the smoothness, the sound, all from a 36+ year old bike.
I'm still torn though. This bike has really low miles and is in really good original shape. Do I ride the heck out of it? Or baby it and only drive it on Sundays?
