I argue very well. Ask any of my remaining friends. I can win an argument on any topic, against any opponent. People know this, and steer clear of me at parties. Often, as a sign of their great respect, they don't even invite me.

A certain man had invited the pastor and his wife for dinner, and it was little Joey's job to set the table. nice to meet you to hocker as for a bike...ive been riding since I was 14, but stopped when i got married, which isnt so now . not married , so nows the time to get back into it, but im rusty as. Im heading to America in a few weeks for 3 months and where im staying they have CBs, so Im going to get back into riding and learning. I dont want to go unarmed and ignorant so I am watching your posts and trying to learn more about bikes and how to fix them. I plan to come back to australia an expert :D...New phase of life for me, hope you dont mind a chick reading your posts ?

And any time you want to just talk, be happy in the knowledge that although we seem like a bunch of ruffty tuffty riders (can't call ourselves 'bikers' because we don't ride you-you-what) we all also have our sensitive side.

For evidence of that see how many pages of posts were devoted to Steve Irwins unfortunate demise.

Honestly, if you're coming in the spring, Kansas would be a good place to avoid, unless you want free airfare to Oz. (and I don't mean home...)  It's twister season soon.  Trust me, I'm in Okiehoma and it's even worse. ;D ;D

Honestly, it's good to have you on the forum.  I'm always in favor of more women riding.  It's a shame that more of them won't even try it.  I even bought my wife a bike, she rode it twice and then hung it up.  Decided it wasn't for her and I had to sell it.

Rsnip I'm actually going to be in america 3 months so start in LA and end up in Texas.

Orcinus nice to meet you, I can understand why your wife dosent want to ride, I think at times the weight and height and the feeling of being quite vulnerable to everything when youre riding , can be a little scary, tho lot of us girls wont admit it. We tend to ride no faster than we feel capable and safe at.  Everyone needs to feel a certain amount of control , a car and such gives us the feeling and safety we like, a bike leaves us open and vulnerable. That I believe is why many woman dont ride.

I've got a co-worker who's wife decided that she wanted to learn, so she signed herself up for a motorcycle course, got her license, and then took over my bud's new 1300 cruiser.  She certainly knew what she wanted and how to get it.  My friend didn't even get to go riding with her till she was all finished with getting her license.  I guess she didn't want him seeing her ride, that way he wouldn't criticize.  Of course the bright side of this story is, while he lost his 4 month old 1300, she let him go out and buy a even newer 1800!  Now they ride everywhere.   ;D  My wife is content to ride with me, she just isn't comfortable with doing the driving.  Seems to be a dislike of Hand clutching and foot shifting that bothers her.  I even offered to find her a Hondamatic, but she says "no dice".

I LOVE going 120mph!!! Thats why I didn't bother putting my passenger pegs back on my F3. I even chopped the mounts!! 8) ;D ;D
