Terry..... First set I’ve ever sent him and I am Impressed! The originals on my K1 are just starting to show some fade and the speedo get’s “cloudy” whenever I go for a longer ride. Definitely going to buy myself an early Christmas present once the bikes come in for Winter!

I know they were planning to close for 10 days, right after they posted mine. Keep trying, it can take a few days!

Why does most of Europe close down in August? They didn't when I was there? What have I missed? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Because they’re smarter than the rest of us?

They would go on holidays years ago during the month and businesses would all but close during that period. Now with COVID the past two years I am guessing that isn’t going to be true now…  I used to do business internationally and we had to deal with that much like US businesses tend to have difficulties achieving much around Christmas because people vacations and visiting family then…

Italy and Germany had usually their vacation period in August while we in Sweden had July.
I think most countries in south Europe had August. I think it still is like that.

It was long time ago our company shut down in July. Production continue so vacation period is end of June, July and August. All teams agree about who have their weeks when.
Same for other companies and other jobs.

I remember in France and Spain in particular, it appeared that folks would have a siesta for a couple of hours after lunch, which I thought was a good idea. Closing down in July/August makes sense when that’s your summer holiday period, Oz pretty much closes down from mid December to mid January because most workers have around 5 weeks off each year for paid annual leave and public holidays.

I’m looking forward to 2025 when I go on holidays permanently. ;D

Took fork legs and front hub out for a light polish today. The correct spokes with “yellow” nipples arrived by post, so wheel building is next. Our last race weekend (Toyota MR2 TURBO Endurance racer) is in 5 days, so after that will get back to this project.

How was Tremblant? Have the leaves turned?

50/50, much warmer and only rained one day. The “Petite Train du Nord” cycling trail is amazing. 75% paved and the rest was very hard packed pea gravel. Mileage markers every kilometre, maps, rest areas and toilets everywhere and they even blow of the leaves early every morning! They rented us an awesome pair of bicycles (18 speed “hybrids, cross between a racer and mountain bike), that made +50 km/day easy. Moved our bags in a van, so we travelled light. Great lodging and meals at every stop. We stopped for a day in Mont Tremblant and my wife dragged me off to my first “Spa Day” ever..... actually quite good. The rest was fabulous! I’d highly recommend it for a 4-5 day break.

Sounds amazing. 50k sounds like a lot but when you have the whole day I'm sure it's do-able. I've gotten pretty seriously into mountain biking since the pandemic. I'll have to keep Tremblant on the bucket list.

The trail is on the old rail line, so gradients were designed for a 1910 train. Ideal!

Interesting shipping discovery this week. I recently purchased a new, “no numbers” set of HM300 Yamiya 4-4 Pipes from a Member here on this forum. They are in the original, individual cartons, in the big box. Unfortunately he is in Western Canada, and I’m in Ontario, just east of Toronto. He kindly dropped them off to a good friend of mine, in Calgary, Alberta. Now what?

Somebody on the CVMG (Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group) website mentioned they had a motorcycle shipped across country by a small shipping company. I checked out their website and was intrigued. Husband and wife team, driving back and forth, across the country. Sent Henry an email at Hassle Free Shipping. He responded immediately and said he will be coming this way in a few days. He will pick up my large carton in Calgary, and deliver to me. Cdn.$150.00 cash!  Real nice guy to talk to and seemed like the real deal. Pipes are on their way. Fingers crossed.

I coated 3 sets on the inside with Eastwood inside the exhaust paint, they used to call it stainless steel paint. One set I sold back to DSS, two I still have. I have a can of it and a can of cleaner ready to go on the 341's I got from cmsnl this year.
I sprayed my 40 chevy manifolds with it and they were silver for 25 years, still haven't rusted but are turning a bit more brown.

Don,what's the stock number on that Eastwood exhaust hi-temp coating? That seems like an excellent product !

Eastwood internal exhaust coating W/ hose and nozzle, one can will do a set of 4. I tape the end I'm not using and be careful it will pour out of the drain hole or the end you're not using. I roll and rotate to spread it everywhere.

Does it work on used exhaust?
