Thanks!

When looking for an eBay item always check in eBay stores. Click the Advanced Search button to the right of the Search button, then at the far left click on Items In Stores, then scroll down through all of the options and make sure only the ones you want checked are checked. Then make sure it's set to sort results the way you like. Then hit Search, this will come up with items that have been sitting in eBay stores for a long time. It's cheap to maintain an eBay store and you can keep thousands of listings parked there maintenance free, so search them whenever you're looking for anything rare, or for a better deal. Cheers!

Be flexible and have fun with it!

That seems to be the way it's playing out, I've picked up a dirt cheap and gently worn K0 cam and just this morning picked up a set of 4 CB77 pistons with wrist pins, clips and rings, all said to be in good shape removed from a stock bore CB750! So this is coming together nicely. But now I'm uncertain if this stuff will wind up on my K3 or on my K8. The K3 has been together with new rings and head on for like 14 years and never been run, it's not stuck but I'm reluctant to disturb it yet and might just finish putting it back together as is since its my first 750 top end rebuild.

The K8 is still apart, HD studs still need to go in and it's been waiting patiently for me to decide whether I want to use the stock pistons and new Chinese rings that came with the basket case, or think up something else. I'm thinking something else, and it rhymes with CB77 & K0.

Now to figure out a wiring harness for it, I'm tempted to just build both bikes with K3 harnesses but I should probably just keep my eyes open for a clean K8 harness.... It doesn't end.

The four CB77 pistons arrived this afternoon, and they're in surprisingly good shape. I'll get some new wrist pin clips for them but they must not have been used very long in the 750 engine they were reportedly removed from. I noticed the wrist pin walls are thinner than the 750 wrist pins, I'll have to weigh and measure side by side. I wonder if this could be part of Terry's golden combination of parts that make his K0 so much fun?

This morning I got an email that a K&N air filter on eBay was relisted, so I made an offer that was accepted. I didn't really want one of the ones going for ~$50 with ~$30 shipping, I got this for like $46 shipped. I think I might stuff it all into the K8 since its still apart, not sure yet.

K&N air filter arrived just now, the box was completely squashed with all 4 corners blown out. I took photos of it then opened it up. The filter is fine though.
