#5 today for 128 km. First day on the Goldwing this year. Ended up at Anna Mae’s restaurant for cherry tarts and see they are renovating, always busy! Came across a different style of wing parked next to me when I got back to the bike. Interesting! Stopped at the dam and the ice is breaking up, high water everywhere.

Still can’t get a bike out of the shop!

John, how far do you have to ride to get to pavement?
I can’t imagine that the ground is thawed, dry, solid.
Any mud holes?

Ride #11 today, just a short 57.4 mile outing.  Again it was very windy.  Without the high wind it would have been a fantastic riding day.

With the wind blowing me around I stayed mainly on the back roads.  I did however skirt the outside edge of Springfield in order to stop and fuel up.

Rain and cooler temperatures for the next few days so I likely be home bound.  Going to get some garden seeds started and perhaps build a few cedar planters.....

I've always made sure to keep the driveway and all the way around the shop covered with crushed rock. I use 5/8" crushed with fine because it packs really well. At my last house there was a flat area that got gooey between the house and shop. I even got stuck in my own driveway once before I started using the crushed rock. Although it was kinda cool to get stuck in my own yard. 8)

Today was unbelievable riding! Had to go down to Waterdown and when I started out it was +9c, by the time I arrived down there it was 24. So 200 km. for #6. That looks like the end of the good weather as tomorrow is supposed to be -1c and the next two eels don’t look great. Several snow days in there.

Kevin….. we had so much snow that I was pushing it back, down around the shop building. The driveway is clear and dry, but the mounds of snow around the shop are still a few feet high and 15 feet across. If I take the truck down there I’ll make a mess. Few more days yet…..

The roads are still covered with sand and gravel. I can wait.

Yesterday I got out on the wing again for ride #2 of 56.7 miles, yahoo! It was a bit chilly, 39°F and a stiff breeze of @30-40mph to start at @ noon to go pick up the 7" H4 headlights I ordered from the Toyota dealer in Manchester. Took the long way back down to Nashua to gas up at Sunoco, then back home to my place.
No pictures again because it was just a bit chilly to stop.

Ride #12 today, 52.7 miles.  Nice ride into Springfield to the Clark County Library.  51F partly cloud wind gusts to 12 mph.  Might be able to squeeze another one in tomorrow before the rain sets in for the weekend.

Got home from errands today and it was sunny and +9c so after days of cold and snow it was time for a quick ride before dark. it is also forecasted to be a crappy weekend with possible freezing rain etc. 84 km. for ride #7.

It’s a 2018, first year of the new style. currently a little over 126,000km. would be more but but I have 5 750’s and a klr to ride ::) absolutely love it and so does my wife. I had a CBX before the wing but it wasnt much of a touring bike for two up. This year I’m upgrading the wing with the newer, larger trunk and an aftermarket seat. Doing two months in Newfoundland again starting July.

Lucky #13 today.  Rain this morning but it turned out to be a nice day.  Low 60's, blue sky, and a light breeze.  57.2 miles in total just meandering around the back roads.

Thanks Kevin  ;D

I was on Blue.  The old bike made quite a splash at the Post Office on the way home.  In this throw away world, people are amazed that I regularly ride a 51 year old motorbike.   ;)

Saw my old buddy Steve at the Post Office.  We were planning a bike trip to Alaska a few years back.  He then got run over on his way home from his son's house one summer evening.  He was very lucky that he's still with us.  He wants a bike in the worst way but still has lingering fears.....
