Got the sporty ready. Hoping to make the time to get a ride for this in soon!
I've got about 6 miles in so far getting used to the foot clutch.

How is the foot clutch learning curve going? Got a picture of the Sporty now that it's going? 8)
I feel like it's going well.
Stopping and taking off on a hill is still a little tough. Other than that it's going well I feel.

My cameras image type doesn't work with the forums site or tap talk so I have to SS them then upload.

I managed to get #25 in today at 90 mi. Took my silver 1972 750 to Belfountain,On to show a prospective buyer. No pics as it was too damn cold, +6c! I wonder if we will ever warm up?

Very Good Lash. May 8th 2025. You’re First In, but we know you better this year. You’re not nearly finished, you’re just getting going, and setting the bar very high. If Frank is paying attention, Im sure he would approve.

This game isn’t nearly over, it’s just getting underway.

Its been very frustrating weather here this year. We seem to get one nice day and then four days or so of rainy, windy miserable cold. I’ve been trying to get in as many 750 rides as I can before we depart for Newfoundland on July 08. After that it is the Goldwing for two months on the island.Hopefully better pictures from there!

+1 on the weather lash but you’re only a tiny bit slower than 2024. :)
sorry, I don’t have the awards in hand, they will be along soon enough.

We all should be thanking Bud, as he is a gracious and generous guy to be making our awards gratis,
even as he is not riding as yet this year. He is well placed as he has the particular skills talent and machinery for this task and the passion for motorcycling. Thanks Bud.

Lets hope that Bud is completely healed. Medically as economically and mentally.

I hope he will be back on the roads on a bike he loves.

His rides were good travel inspiration and role model how to ride and document it.

My buddy Gary came out today. We got his ‘86 Honda TransAlp running and my K1. Did a nice long loop towards Haliburton and then lunch in Bethany. Glad I wore my riding pants and kept the liner in the jacket! That’s #4.

I made plans with my buddy to go on a 3 day ride in a couple of weeks but all short days of about 150 miles. I'm still low on energy from the radiation infusion treatments but I'm stacking firewood for exercise. This ride will be a mental health ride. 8)

Ride #23 May 10, 2025.  Just 50 miles of back roads on the CBR.  I love this bike & I need to ride it more!

Rode out to Mom's to water in the wild flower meadow I planted for her. last week.  Been riding out there every day to water it until it starts sprouting.  Hoping to get some signs of germination be fore we have a thunder storm.

It was a beautiful day without a cloud in the sky.  Perhaps the best day of the year so far!

Was purposely hitting the backest of the back roads looking for some photo opportunities.  Came across this signage for the "1950 Nation and Ohio Plowing Matches".  I really do live down in the boondocks!  LOL

I was hoping to get some tilling done around here, but the ground is still far too wet.  Maybe tomorrow.....

#27 today was 122 mi. Went to the woodworking Mecca of Canada, Lee Valley Tools. Very easy to go broke there! Then off to Apex Cycle so my friend Mario could buy a brake switch for his Ducati. Beautiful day today..

  • So, what do ya wanna talk about today?
Congratulations Lash, (because I don't know your real name, unless it's actually Lash, in which case I'll shut up) well done!

Spotty and I went to a swap meet yesterday, then did some more work on my VMax, so today I really wanted to get a ride in. Problem was, it's Mother's Day and we were having the MIL and my youngest son over for lunch. Bugger. I love them both, but I wanted to go for a ride, so instead of a sleep in and a late breakfast, I geared up, fired up the Ducati, and did a quick 60 mile ride, before going home, changing clothes, driving to the shopping centre to buy her some flowers and a card, then ordering lunch.

#10 was a great ride, the little Ducati is a pleasure to ride, and I saw some short bursts of very illegal speeds. I'm looking forward to retiring soon, so I can get out on my bikes more often. Working for a living sucks. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Marios other ride than his Goldwing is a Ducati Hypermotard .He bought it from a friends wife. The man developed very bad demencia and his wife had to dispose of all his toys. The bike required a brake switch about the size of a grape with two wires, but being for Brembo Ducati the cost was $130..

That Ducati looks really good, Terry!
The design of the rear is extra fine.
I guess most people will see rhat side.

It's size is small compared to your V-Max and even bigger Triumph, right?

Comfortable during legal speeds or will it find the licence flying area by itself? ;D

#8  155km ride.
The temperature is a little bit fresh. 14-15*C often felt like 10*C since the sun was hiding behind the clouds most of the time.

I tried another restaurant today. Pizza and kebab restaurant in Skinnskatteberg
Good taste with spicy sauce when I entered the meatier layer ;D

See photos below outside and inside restaurant. Road photo after lunch a few minutes outside town. Nice motorcycle roads. Even better later on.

I got the idea to ride my blue when the weather felt OK during garden job.

I added Tri-Pak fuel additive again to clean carbs, the pistons with chambers + ex ports especially.
I started that treatment in September last year wich made carbs cleaner and better. First ride this year with STP Ultra 5-1 in the fuel tank felt as an improvement after 170km.

Pilot circuit ran rich for while last year. A few jets (pilot and main)sat loose in 1-2 carbs (found late August). Acc pump forgotten to be adjusted from black smoking max stroke.
Minimum pump stroke needed. Found in winter, adjusted to minimum after the first ride, from middle setting it got in winter

So more cleaning rides to come.
I have seen earlier how fast and much carbon can grow when head was off.

Are you still planning on coming over for Route 66 ride at some point?  I remember at one time this was supposed to be the year, but I know plans changed.

I offered to ride along if he is going west to east. Can do LA to Laughlin, or Ooatman, or maybe even Flagstaff.............just to make sure that he rides on the correct side of the road! Kinda like a Godzilla hand off. But he may want to go it alone at his own pace.
