I also use the clear Yamiya turn lenses with amber bulbs. Work great.
MauiK3, to improve the looks even more (IMO), I opted also for 'clear looking' bulbs, to avoid that sunny-side-up look. Bulbs flash amber though, but that's fine for safety.

Amazon is one of the companies that are boycotted by many in Europe. Even Dutch pension funds, which are huge, have withdrawn their investments. I bought the bulbs at a shop that trades car parts and accessories.
Osram is one of the brands.

That's a killer deal for a pair of Koito reflectors plus the extra bits. My bikes all have Cibie but I upgraded back when they still made them, before the dies wore out. Would have been useful for a car I recently swapped to these koito reflectors from sealed beams. Koito is comparable to Cibie, best headlight you'll get perhaps short of projector or other impractical type.

I haven't read the whole thread but is there any special wiring for these lights?

Den….. They come with a “plug and play” harness, zip ties and contact lubricant, but you don’t need any of that. Standard three prongs on the back of the lamp and they fit perfectly with all your existing connector, hardware, rings and trim. Fantastic deal….. two lamps, so you can do both your bikes. Check with your local Toyota dealer if they can get you a kit.

I ordered July 2 and today the package was in possession of usps but awaiting acceptance. Toyota parts express may not have had them in stock, or maybe they just aren't really express.

Maybe I missed it, but I have still no idea if such a lens will provide the desired asymetric beam pattern as in the pic.

Mine came today. I've only opened them so far but the bulbs look awesome and the wiring harness is interesting. I might consider using it on my 40 chevy. It's still sporting 12V sealed beams from the 1980's. The new harness appears to use an existing headlight socket for the relay control and a hot and ground to power up the bulbs.

I used the extra stuff to wire/ relays etc., a second fuel pump in the LEXUS. High quality bits and nice bag of zip ties too!

Hey Guys, i don't know if this'll be helpful or not, but if found a great trick that these headlights can do: they work with Osram LEDs, and they are considred road-legal in many countries in Europe, i.e. no glare.

I wrote up a message with more on a headlamp thread that Mr.D began:

I ordered another set, around $32 shipped is too cheap not to take advantage and have some on hand. I plan to put the first set in my 40 Chevy so now I'll have two for my bikes. I'll wire a relay to my electric fan while I'm at it. That will save my custom-made firewall connectors that melted once.
If there was a similar kit for quad headlights, I'd buy that too.

Don…. My buddy Tim and I also ordered a few more. The first two sets got used up pretty fast. The relays and harnesses are powering the two fuel pumps in the Lexus race car too! Useful stuff.

That's what sold me on them, I see the Kioto bulbs only for sale on ebay from $50 to $80 a pair.

My 40 has the factory terminal strip on the inner fender, I'm thinking I'll modify the harness so I can feed the wiring harness through the existing body holes and keep the relays and fuses.

I wish Koito would re-do some reflectors to fit the Yamaha XS1 and the RD350's...those are some weird sized bulbs with all the hardware attachments soldered to the back of the bulb.  Very difficult to find replacements...
If it works good, it looks good...

Good plan! That’s how it was designed to just plug into the original Toyota trucks.

Reflectors with light behind them, sounds good.

Could you share a photograph or two? I'm having a difficult time picturing how this looks.
