At FB I learned that there was a memorial service yesterday 4/13 for David in his hometown of Blountville, Tennessee.

WOW...sorry to hear of all this.

"RAF" always had something to add to the "conversation" and would occasionally forward random emails to me on various subjects that interested him.

It makes me curious that he recently was thinking of cremation as if he was thinking the end was soon?

RIP  David....

I’m almost afraid to ask….. Has anyone heard from “Terry in Australia”. Not like him to be so quiet for almost three weeks.

Sad to hear about David.  Too young.  He emailed me a couple of times back in December.  I assumed for the longest time that he was a British expat or immigrant until I saw a thread where he mentioned he was from Ohio (I think).   I spent a year in the UK, and "RAF" stands for "Royal Air Force".  I thought he was probably a veteran.

I was wondering the same thing. Hope he checks in soon.

I also assumed RAF was for Royal Air Force, which was reinforced by his knowledge of aircraft, until I asked him about it. That's when he told me the origins of Roof As Floor. :)

Spotty mentioned Terry offered to help with brake parts yesterday. Good sign.

Dang.  David was always an affable presence on the forum.  It is always sad as people fall by the wayside.  I have lived long enough now that I see it more and more often.  Thanks David for all the good conversations.

Scottly just pointed me to this thread.  I am incredibly taken aback.  He was always sending me emails about long winding rides because he knows I do that stuff.  We had plans to meet up late last year but his plans changed.  Such a supportive man.  He will be missed.  Rest with the angels David

David did mention in a PM that he was going to see you Lisa, while on a trip to the coast a while back, but I don't recall just when it was. He was also going to see RickyRacer Ted, who we recently lost as well. :(
