if i ever find some of those early gauges , I'd put um on the CB before the KZ anyway  ;D ;D

I'm pretty happy with the way the cockpit is shaping out  .. I'm just my toughest critic , and it had to grow on me for a few days ... i like the little tiny gauges, and the dummy light housing isn't finished yet ... so no judgments yet  ;D

Just don't over think it..  ;D

the mounting tabs from the side covers, welded to the swingarm

from random scrap metal laying around my garage, cut up and welded and drilled and ground and..
the hardware i also had layin around, so i'll be getting some shorter screws

been saving that piece of diamond plate, for almost 3 years now  ;D

thats a $4 dollar license plate light , .... the plate is the one that was on my other bike when it caught fire (in case your wondering why it's all yellow)

far from done , still gotta clear coat it.
.i just wanted to share . cuz i really like it

i started laying down the truck bed liner to see if that the texture i want
that will have the same OD green painted over it ...(i don't know though i kinda dig the rubberized truck bed coating and i might just do the frame in that  ;D

i'm running out of stuff to do that doesn't cost much ...soon it's just "buy parts" time

What brand was the truck bed liner? Was it easy to work with?

Tank looks awesome.

the truck bed liner is by Dipli-color , (rattle can from Auto-zone)  and it was very easy to control how textured you want it

so ... i really did like the tank design ...i did.... but after further concideration , i've decided it doesn't really fit the sceme of the bike ... it was just too busy

what i want to do and what will actually be done are probly not the same ..(i'm broke, and mufflers aren't cheap)

i was thinking i'd do 2 small mufflers with a little bit of an upsweep ending right below the passenger pegs , i wanted the pipes to go under the center of the bike, connect with an H pipe then go out , Triumph style

kinda like this

kinda like this

actually ... just like that .. but with smaller mufflers ...

so whatever it does end up looking like , you now know what my oringinal idea is ... anything less is just a money issue  ::) ;D

i'm debating weather to just do a 2 to 1 .. it would cost less and there are plenty of examples proving it works well

had to finally finish the seat mounting .. added another tab and welded a nut to the seat pan

witch pulled the middle of the seat down tighter with the frame

been doing little details today .. messing with wiring mostly
this will all be wrapped in cloth tape

i'm really happy with where it's going .. it's real gritty , and looks utilitarian ,and almost madmaxx-ish
