Perhaps you could explain the thinking behind that fairing; given that it's a bit unusual I wonder if there was some wind tunnel time spent?Like the exhaust... close ups?

Don't forget thay had 2 drivers per team, so you spent a lot of time on the bike. 2nd was to prevent frontwheel lift on the long straights. In the old days the bikes were quite a bid backheavy with less weight on the front then nowadays. Cheers, Rob

Mike, if you look back in this thread you will find the address of Bartell Eng in Ireland. Airtech do a glass tank in the US but the Ally ones are much better and are spot on replicas.Sam.
