Sorry guys for not getting more pics, I was all set to get the engine back into the frame last Friday aftery Thanksgiving.  My wife and I got our own little turkey on Thanksgiving.  I was helping my parents get ready for our annual family get together when the wife called to inform me her water broke?  Mind you our due date is Dec. 15th.  At 8:27 p.m. that evening my son was born!  I am off for three weeks trying to help my wife as much as possible, I hope to work on it a bit.  I will get more pics up later in the week.

754, the old top triple tree is cracket on the right side (from seat), not all the way through the top tube holder but enough to make me not to want to use it!

MG Innovative Products, Inc., is who made the triple tree.  They have since corrected the problem I have with them when I recieved the triple tree.  See bad vendor list for explanation.

My son's name is Edgar Charles Merritt IV (family name), he was born on 11-22 at 8:27 p.m. and weighed 6 pounds 14 ounzes (mind you he was over three weeks early, Dec. 15th was original due date.

ditto on the bike, it looks like its coming together very well.

the clipons are tommasellis (sp) I've got some on my bike and really like them.

I'm looking for a top triple like the one you have pictured, only for the 500K. Where'd that triple come from?

Thanks Hymodyne, those clip ons are Tommasellis (sp?)!  I got those as I thought they may be a bit less painful than the regular clip-ons that are fixed in a specific position.  Not to mention the price when I got them the price was a lot better than a few other types.

MG Innovative Products, Inc., is where I got the top triple tree.  They have since corrected the problem I have with them when I recieved the triple tree.  See bad vendor list for explanation.

Thanks Spikeybike, Hopefully the bike will turn out fairly cool.  I have had it now for 17 years and hope to pass it on the my son, El Quatro!

Here are a couple other projects / toys...

76 CB 750, my next project?  Maybe a chopper, maybe parts...

78 Suzuki GS 1000 / mid 80s GSXR front end, rear end, rims, suspention, Koni rear shocks.  This has been my burn out machine this summer.  Has a slightly checked rear tire with entirely too much tread.  So what to do?  Lots of burn outs, I had hoped to pop the tire before winter hit here in Ohio, but no such luck.

2000 Hellcat, my go fast fix.  Currently for sale.....

Was able to get out to the garage this morning and work on the Honda for a bit.  I was able to get the engine in the frame and then I took my time removing all the painters tape.  Here are a few pics of the progress!

Wait till you see the crazy paint job on the tins, BLING, BLING.  Still trying to find a quality painter her in Columbus to carry out my idea.  I am having a guy paint SS stripes, rising sun flag on the GS 1000 as well as re-clearing all the tins.  Sorta testing out his ability to see if I want him to go nuts on the cafe project.  Finding a good painter that you can trust is harder than I thought it would be!

So it has been a while since I have made any updates.  Have not got too much of a chance to get out in the garage to work on the project.  With no time I gave my rim hoops, hubs and stainless spokes and nipples to Greg from Ohio Cafe Racer.  I was hoping to get them back just before X-mas, he had them back after 2 days (great turn around).  For those of you who are in Ohio you may want to check out Greg's, Ohio Cafe Racer web site at: http://www.ohiocaferacers.com  I know I am biased, but he builds incredible alloy CR tanks (Best Prices Around), carb rebuild services, laces rims among other things (more than 350s, you just need to ask).  Here is his handy work:

Front Tire 12-13-07

Rear Tire 12-13-07

Then I had a set of Metzler Lasertec tires (110, 90 by 19" on front, then a 130, 80 by 18" on rear) mounted on my rims, thanks Jesse!  Here are some pics of that:

Rear Right 12-14-07

Rear Left 12-14-07

Front Left 12-14-07

Front Right 12-14-07

Tire Profile 12 -14 -07

Last but certainly not least, for those of you out there that are Ohio State Buckeye Fans:

My Little Animal!

Hopefully the Bucks will not take LSU lightly and will bring the national championship back to Columbus!!!  Go Bucks!!!

AWESOME job there so far BG!

Hurry up and get it finished... I'm ready to nominate it for 'Bike of the Month' already just based on what I've seen so far.

Congrats on the baby too!

Thank you for the compliment!  I would say ditto to you on your awesome awesome build.  I have been following it for a while, it makes me wish I would have went with the wider rear tire, dual disk front end & original tank (modded of course).  I just want to have her completed by vintage days at Mid-Ohio this year.  The biggest hurdle I have left is paint...
