Seems most bikes now have alloy cast wheels, why not talk to some bike shops and a few other bikers in your area..
Might be a little old man that knows some magic to true that wheel for you

I have not found a shop which could true a motorcycle (cast) wheel in both directions.

I started to mock up the gpz wheel, it still needs spacers and brake discs -
speedo seems to work, but I could ditch it completely.

Not much progress lately but next I'll have new discs cut from 5mm steel (domex 355 or some stainless).

I also sourced a set of used carburetors from ebay and they are dismantled and boiling in the kitchen at the moment (with some dishwasher liquid) :)

Original carbs are missing chokes (some kind of performance mod maybe, but it is really hard to start the bike right now). I'll have to also get some rebuild kits for the carbs or at least new o-rings.

Nice Bike. Just me, but I'd get rid of the outer (metal) fender and mount smaller lights (tail and indicators) on the rear seat.

Thanks, I am going to take rear light and fender away and modify the original indicators to accept (red LED) dual filament bulbs and use trailer converter to integrate rear/brake lights in to them. I already have the bulb holders & trailer light converter and I have ordered a couple of 24 LED red bulbs. I still need to get "digital" flasher relay. I might also change all indicators but have not found anything that suits my taste (something smaller but still "vintage/retro" enough).

I rebuilt the carbs and the bike runs. Now I'll have fix the exhaust since the marving exhaust (modell unknown) from Ebay doesn't fit to the head, so I am going to use existing headers with it. A have also been thinking about painting the bike bike all red (like MV Agusta).

I have tried that earlier, but it doesn't work so well with picasa.
It works better with thumbnails they are providing (I did had to translate from embedded html to ubb manually):

It was nice to ride, but lots of work to do. The clutch didn't feel so good after it warmed - I am not sure wether it was the cable or something else.

Some progress again. One of the original plug wires has been cut and extended with a hack job, so something needed to be done in that section also. I bought Accel 3 Ohm coils (#140403) and their 9mm wires. I also bought some 1,5 Ohm/25W resistors to be used as ballast resistors for the coils.

Made also new pipe combining the existing headers with a Marving exhaust I got and wrapping the headers with exhaust wrap.

I also removed the bar end indicators for cleaner look. Thinking also getting universal lucas style rear lamp and running completely without indicators.

Unfortunately no new pictures at the moment. Hopefully today some spare time to go to the garage.
