it is... er... pretty low.  To tell ya the truth, I wouldn't have lowered mine if I was able to flatfoot the bike at its stock height....

It kinda just depends on how you like it.  It'll be more likely to drag pipes/pegs now if you turn too hard, and a pain in the ass to get up on the center stand, but if you're short like I am, you'll have a better more stable footing on the ground. Like most mods, you just need to find where the pros outweigh the cons.

(I know, that doesn't help, but "only you can help yourself") ;)

thanks Kit for exploiting my shortness  ;D

It is comfortable sitting that low, almost looks like my shocks are bad. You ever see those cars riding around and it obviously needs new suspension,LMAO.. I'll ride for a few weeks and see how i like..Be safe out there!

Griff, did you gave to change anything to fit those or are they straight bolt on?
What net site did you get them off?

Do you have a manual?  If not, there is a thread with links to download one.  I'm not sure if the bolt size is listed.  I'll take mine out tonight and post the size/thread pitch tomorrow.

do you mean #21 on the fiche? It's a 6x18.

Or you could just go to the local hardware store and just match it up.

oh that one's an 8. It's as long as the shorter bolts holding the head cover and/or outer valve adjustment covers on.

I'm new to the forum, but I've had my 650 for about 5 years.

1980 CB650 Standard, when I got it, it had a fairing and hardbags. After awhile I took them off. Now I'm tearing it apart to fix a head gasket leak, and replace all the engine gaskets while I've got it apart. Hopefully I can finish it soon, it's been too long since I've ridden it and I can't wait.

Mine didn't need that much time invested or $$ into it. I just had to wait for a little money to come in. 8)
