If any of you folks are in the Portland area, hit me up and we can go for a ride!

Hey Mike,

I'm in Portland as well and just got mine back on the road.  Pretty much looks like yours, except for the exhaust.  I actually have a Kerker header for it, just need the muffler.

Well folks, I am in the process of trying to get my things all relocated in Hartwell, GA and hope to get some progress made on, among other things, my 400F.

Say Folks, I have looked all the way through here and didn't see where anyone had thought to do a count of the 400Fs on here. I would like to do this, so if you all could pm or email me, I'd be more than happy to put them in a list and keep up with it. Just thought I'd offer.  ;)

I bought this one last March (2012) off of eBay. Let's just say that it was not accurately described. Since then, I've done a boat-load of work on it. Still to come: have the instruments restored and powder-coat the frame.

Here is my recently gifted 400 from my father-in-law.  Actually my wife told him no more riding.  It is residing in Tampa Florida.  It is a 1977 disguised as a 1975.  His orig tank was no good and found an older tank so figured change the color to his preference as well.  Was red.  Has just over 14K miles.  When I got it I took it in and got the gaskets and o-rings changed as it had a oil leak for years.  Looking at changing the exhaust to the David Silver Spares replica in the very near future.

Bob

This is my 1977 CB400F winter project. I hope to take it down to the Caldwell show next March. It hasn't run for 20+ years.

N00B to the SOHC forums

I run a 1976 CB400F SuperSport (American) which I am currently cafe-ing but keeping as much of the original parts as possible (indicators weren't possible).
She's Yellow and called "Bumble" and will soon have a black and yellow striped tank with a flushmount cap.

Photos to come

Here's my old girl, a '76, US model with 24 thousand miles. It had dealer installed tiller bars, which were promptly replaced with correct ones, while I freshened it up.

Just as nice to ride as it is to look at...

Hi All
I hope this is a suitable place to post this, I'm trying to track down the owner of my late fathers CB 400/4, registration KTW617V. Going through his old papers I've found the original sales invoice for the bike and thought the current owner might like it as part of the bikes history. According to the DVLA site it's still taxed and MOT'd and insured too, so presumably is still in use somewhere! If anybody knows the bike and could put me in touch with the current owner or has any suggestions on how to track them down I'd be pleased to hear from them.
Regards
Grumpy

Just picked up this 1975 CB400F in Toronto, Ontario.
The previous owner had the work done by Rob Chappell of Origin8or Custom Cycle Co.

Nice to see the CB400F Registry still here and getting some activity. Still got mine, though I haven't even touched it, since 2012. because of things going on, in my life, I had my motorcycles & a lot of other things, in storage. I relocated to Georgia, but moved back to Central Arkansas, to my Dad's place, that I inherited. Working on getting things home and then I will be making the effort, to get things going again. Been dealing mostly, with my non SOHC4 (called a 1964 Super Hawk), but should be getting to where I can finally get on with getting the CB400F the attention it deserves. You folks take care & I'll catch you all later.  ;)

I Just found a 45 year old survivor! I've been looking for one for a while now. This is similar to the first bike I ever owned, which I purchased new at Honda of Mineola, Long Island, NY back in 1976.

I took this fine example home last Sunday. And I can't wait to heap loads of TLC on it. Besides being in damn good condition one of the best things is the perfect original Honda CB400F four into one exhaust systems that was on it.

Don't have a photo of my blue 1975 cb400f which I bought while working at South Seas Honda near Pearl Harbor. a storage company called the dealership in 1990 and wanted us to take a look at the bike to see if we would be interested in buying it. The boss passed on it so went and picked it up for $50. A carb rebuild and kreem in the tank and i had a great little runner. I put 40,000 miles on it but it has sat since 1994. currently trying to get it going again, the odometer shows 58,000 miles and there is a lot of work left to do. the sohc website has been a enormous help and i cant thank Hondaman enough for all the help he has given me. just out of curiosity i was wondering who has the most miles on their untouched 400 before a rebuild, are there some high milers out there? Spare parts are hard to come by in Hawaii and shipping is considered to be international, so no free shipping. Stay in touch..... Aloha

Bikes up and running just hit 60,000 miles on the speedometer yesterday while riding up  to the north shore. what a joy to be riding again after it has set for twenty plus years.
