Here is my cb400f super sport. I just bought it a couple days ago. I'm new to the Honda SOHC/4 scene. This isn't my first bike. I had a Yamaha RD350, and a 86 Suzuki GSX-R1100. I'm very happy with the balance of power/weight and size of this bike.

The bike has quite a few miles (38000), but runs like a champ. It's completely original minus the Kerker exhaust. I'm located in Portland OR. If any of you folks are in the Portland area, hit me up and we can go for a ride!

Onto the pics-->

I bought this 1976 CB400f from Greg Roberts of Tennessee about 3 years ago, it had been in his family since it was purchased new (uncle and brother were previous owners). Except for a battery, a solenoid, and right hand kill/starter switch, it was completely original down to the dry rotted but functional tires. I replaced the battery, tires (Bridgestone Battlax), chain, and sprockets. I took a job 18 months ago in Iraq as a contract firefighter and did not have time to drain the fuel/carbs. So when I finally got home 3 weeks ago it was job #1, which was greatly aided by tips found here. Once the battery was charged I found my starter button was DOA, but at least I finally got the headlight to work. So a jump of the solenoid or quick kick and she's purrs like a kitten. I cleaned up the frame when I had the tank off. Future projects: I have a broken tab on the right side cover, there's a little surface rust on the inside of the fenders, and that problematic starter switch. But the paint is still glossy, the original decals are in good shape, the complete exhaust is rust free, and the wheels look like new. Thanks for all the tips and suggestions.

Hello I am Marie from Spain. I would like to present you my CB400SF from 2001. I bought it a few weeks ago and I am very happy with her. I had some troubles to find her in Spain as this bike doesn’t come to Europe, but I found someone who used to try used bikes from Japan, and after several years looking for this bike, I get it.
I have a Honda VTR 250 too, which is a very funny bike, great for woman as it is light and very easy to drive.
I leave some photos on by first post. (CB400 in Spain)
See you.

I've got a yellow 76.....

K&N filters, Stage 3 jet kit, dyna ignition, ontario exhaust.

cafe bars and seat, napoleon mirrors, new springs front, new shocks rear.  Avon roadriders 110 rear, 100 front.

Kick start only, rearsets, reverse shift, lots of billet crap.

The funnest bike I've ever owned.

Set up a free PhotoBucket account and get those pics posted.

It is kind of funny we have such similar bikes and names.

I've been to a few of their events but I don't really know any of them personally. I've been curious about joining though, they all seem pretty mellow.

Here are some pics of my first sohc4, '76 CB400f.  Sold it 2 years ago when I was unemployed.  Had it for 10 years & loved it, even tho it was a little small for me I'll probly pick up another to have as a second around town bike:

Hi All

Also from sunny South Africa, i have just become the proud owner of my little 400/4, the bike is original from new, the motor runs as sweet as a nut, only 30000km's on the clock. all i have to do is strip clean, paint, polish, polish, polish.

I will post pics soon

Well what do you know, i got it right, i managed to post the pic.
This little gem is a 1975, this is the condition from new, i am the second owner,
I am planning to restore her, as a work in progress, as i still want to ride the bike.
I will rebuild the front wheel, then the back and so on.
The motor runs like a swiss watch, and still has lots of grunt.
So, strip, paint, chrome and polish.

Regards ;D

I have found a set of old school tires, 300x18 front and 350x18 rear, this type
was fitted as original equipment, i am not into hard riding, so i am sure they will work fine, i would like the bike to look as original as possible.what do you guys
think.

I have 1970's style tyres on my bike but they are made from modern rubber compounds, they work great for me.

Cheers

Nice job on the tank. What gauge aluminum did you use? I've been thinking about making one with knee dents.

New owner of 1976 CB400F -- all original as far as the bike's history indicates, though I'm not sure of the full chain enclosure.

Yeah, I'd rip that off in a heart beat. Looks retarded IMHO.
