just get it and worry about the consequences later
Uhhh, I dunno......
A few years ago, I was sent out to spent some of our meager disposable income on a 2nd 'family car.'
So $2800 later I roll up to the house in a rusty, leaky, smelly 1966 Porsche 912. It was beautiful- the car I'd wanted ever since highschool. I felt pretty justified- it was esentially my money (she didn't work, unless you count being a stay at home mom a job!

) and it was my 30th birthday present.
So for the next five years until I sold it, not a day went by that she didn't let me know how disapointed she was.
It was the source of numerous arguments and nights on the couch. Every dime I put into that car (which were MANY) was the source of tension; she wouldn't ride in it; when it broke down she was always 'just too busy' to come and rescue me; blah, blah, blah.
Of course the kids thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. So did all of our friends.
Ha, sweet vindication!
I'm not saying don't buy the car, you obviously have your heart set on it, I'm just saying remember that everything has consequences...
