It can be done by yourself!

Took about an hour to hoist the frame, lower it over the engine, bolt it and get upright.  Only a minor scratch on the alternator cover was made.  Next time, I'll either remove the cover or cover it with carpet.

Great idea!  I just had fun doing this myself, but it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

I've lowered the engine in from the side with a block and tackle, muscled it in with the bike on the center stand, laid the engine on its side and laid the frame over it, and stripped the frame down to the case and just slipped it in. the last way was the most trouble free. minus the juggs and the head, etc,  the crankcase isn't too hard to manuipulate into the frame.

Why didn't I think of that?! :D

I did mine with a floor jack and a milk crate.

I've done the milk crate/ jack three times before, but after reading posts about this method, decided to give it a go. I was way easier doing the frame over the engine.

You got ripped.  My grammy only costs a cup of hot tea with milk and a shiny nickle.
