You whole situation really turns my stomach. I hope you are able to get a handle on things, and quickly! It can go from bad to horrible in short order. I know someone that was completely raped by their POA. He stole his house, car, property in the Bahamas, savings, everything! What makes it so bad is he did it "legally."
Keep us posted.
You know, there was a time that I would have never thought that we would be going through this.

Hope you all don't mind if I put a bit of history on this, to show where we went from and have been, to get to this point. When my Mom was pregnant with my brother, they couldn't agree on a name and, as a last resort, my Dad said, "let's see what Bill can come up with." Well, after some thought, I said," what about David (my best friend's name was David. I was 10years old then) and Lee as a middle name (I always thought alot of General Robert E. Lee, even back then) and, there it is, David Lee Van Pelt. In his younger years, I did alot with him and took him lots of places. When he turned 13, he started changing (Mom and Dad said, he's just going through a stage and then he'll grow out of it. Well, he never did, it just progressively got worse and worse. I went into the USAF in 66' and when I came home, he was still changing, then I got married, he was still changing and as time went on, we got farther and farther apart. At one point in my Army Reserve Career, I transfered to the unit that my Dad was in and within a couple of years, my brother joined the reserves and was in the same unit. It seemed like things were going to be bearable until the Motor Sgt was getting out of the unit. I was getting ready to go to Fort Belvoir VA through my Civil Service job and take a course on Power Generation (about a 3 and 1/2 month course) and was supposed to take over the Motor Sgt position when I returned. Well, while I was gone, my brother started working on doing me in and getting the slot for himself. He sure was mad, when I returned and took over the Motor Sgt slot! Then, about a couple of years later, the Motor Officer was moving up in positions and was vacating his slot. I got wind that my brother was at it again. This time, he had been trying to get a guy into the Motor Officer's slot, so that he could worm his way into the Motor Sgt slot. His plan fell through with that guy and he started working on another one for the job. When I realized what he was up to, I found the present Motor Officer out in the Motor Pool lot and asked him "Who has the say about who is to be the next Motor Officer and he said,
YOU have alot to say about it." I then asked about a newly commissioned officer that had seen working with us for awhile and he said that David had said that the guy didn't want it. I asked him to wait right there, I went into our maint. office, asked the Lt if he wanted the job, he said he would like to give it a shot, I told him to wait right there, I went out to the Motor Officer and told him that the Lt wanted the job and where he was. That Lt was a Capt and still in the Motor Officer's slot when I transfered out. Needless to say, my brother was not happy and transfered out right after his last efforts failed. Believe it or not, we ended up in another Unit together. He was the
Motor Sgt and I became a Platoon Sgt, until the motor pool flunked and IG inspection
Big Time. Next thing I knew, the Company Commander and the Motor Officer went through the records and found that I was the most qualified one in the unit and I was appointed the
New Motor Sgt.! Wasn't long after that, that my brother left the Army Reserves for good. He had nearly 15 yrs towards a retirement and threw it away. Oh, I almost forgot (don't know how I could), I was is a pretty good tight, financially and my brother bought a package deal from a buddy of ours ( a 75' GMC Sprint and a 74' Dodge Royal Monaco (ex Stat Police car) and sold me the Dodge with "Pay me what you can, as you can deal." So, we were paying on it pretty regularly, my brother was going to get married, my wife says that she thinks we can give him 2 payments for that month and help them out. Next thing I know, I get a letter from my brother telling me that if I don't get off of my ___ and pay the car off, he's going to be taking me to court! Needless to say, I was MAD and hurt at the same time. I made sure that my Mom and Dad saw that letter, they couldn't believe it. Things haven't been the same since then )the Last Straw!!!!!!!
Hope I haven't irritated anyone by taking so much time with this, I've been needing to tell this and try to get it out of my system for some time now.
Thank You for indulging me, Bill
