Its not snow unless it lasts for at least 48 hours! If it cant make it that long, it is just fluffy white rain! :D

No I dont! Actually we have gotten lucky and dodged most of the snow so far this winter! Now if I can just find a way to alter weather patterns and send all the snow to texas and california, I will be very happy! :D

Looking at the pics on CNN, I didn't know people that far south actually owned big winter coats and hats. We've got a balmy 6 degrees (F) here today so I'm glad I have mine ;D

We get a ok amount of snow, nothing like mountains but we get hammered by the cold. We get colder here than a lot of places in alaska.

Okay, just saw the snow on CNN that Hope is talking about and I guess maybe Arkansas "Ducked" in time, to send it on down to "Hopeland".  ::) We don't usually get much in our area either and that's okay. ;D Wouldn't mind a bit around Christmas (on the ground and not on the streets  :D ) We had some in Little Rock once, that covered the yards, the streets were clear and the snowflakes were large. We couldn't believe that none stuck to the streets though.

The pics were taken about 6:30 am.  Some snow is still on the ground now.  We have ice on some of out roads.

I have a ton more pictures, but could not upload them because the lights went out at about 7:30a.  They have been out ever since.  I am at work now, so I don't have any more pics here that I can upload.

Everybody is running their hurricane generators.  I still haven't purchased one.  I might have to buy one if the lights are not on when I get home.  It's freaking cold and damp down here.

I spoke with a colleague in Houston last night.  They had snow there, too.  He told me something interesting.  Everytime Houston has been touched by a hurricane, they get snow the following winter.

It's that supposed Global Warming thing. The whole world is experiencing colder annual temperatures and snow is showing up in places where it's never been seen (Las Vegas, L.A., Baja), so it's definitely getting warmer. Another few years of this, and we can ride our bikes almost all July long!  ::)

...no, I don't believe it...

I thought it did that everywhere in the world? I get at least six months of that here and another four months of nice "Fall" weather as well. Makes the riding a little interesting sometimes.  ::)

Lights came back on 2:30 PM yesterday, so we spent a day and a half in the cold with no power.  Now, I have tons of pics I need to upload.  Some snow is still on the ground, but it is really sheets of ice now.

in the middle of a blizzard now. For those of you who THINK they know a blizzard, here is it when snow fall is around a foot of snow with sustained winds of 20 mph or something like that. We may get over a foot and winds are over 40 mph and windchill will be around -40 F.

You see, there is a reason why NO ONE rides in the winter here.

While I was getting ready for work this morning, the wife warned me not to take the bike.  I stepped out the front door into almost zero visibility.  ::)  Decided to take the car.  Shrug.  On the hour trip to ABQ, crosswinds almost blew me across the lanes a few times.  Winter may be coming.  And to think that just last night I was running errands on my bike...

Even that would be no help here! We still have -43 and I got about a 7 foot drift in front of my house and one of my cars is only findable by its antenna!
